Whatever their motivation, appeasing disgruntled Scousers, pandering to the anti City/Abu Dhabi narrative or the perceived white, working class prejudices there is definitely an orchestrated campaign by The Sun to portray Sterling in the worst possible way at every possible opportunity. That isn't the result of some lone, rogue journalist going 'off script', its a conscious business decision taken by senior management and sanctioned by the owners and, as such, needs addressing with the seriousness it warrants. If, as Martin Samuel says, our club's media department is far more active than we imagine then I'm sure they are looking at the possible courses of action as we speak. In terms of Sky Sports News and their selective editing of Sterling's tweet I can't see how that can be anything other than libellous and I hope the club go after them in the most public fashion starting with an official statement in support of Raheem and condemning Sky for their distortion of the facts. Same with The Sun, condemn them loudly and publicly and, for me, start off with banning that fat, odious little f***er Custis.
