If Mourinho comes..

If Mourinho comes..

I will streak around COMS first home game. You'd best hope he doesn't!

They averaged very nearly 3 goals a game with Mourinho in charge.

stop it Cheesy, don't let the facts get in the way of a shite argument....

;p

Yeah, sorry I'm just being silly now ;-)

Facts instead of opinions? It will never catch on :-)

Post from CFCnibs on here:

We all longed for better football. Despite the success Mourinho brought, at time the football was duller than dull. I would honestly go without trophies if it meant we started playing football like Barca or Brazil and to start with I thought Scolari had got it right. But something has gone wrong big time (too many ageing players who have no hunger doesn't help) and at the moment we don't even look like troubling the opposition keeper.

I'd still take Jose over Hughes no doubt, but I think we've got a squad capable of playing quality football, not the functional stuff Jose goes for.

old jose has a terrible habit of collecting those silver things (trophies - you may have heard of them) i personally could not care if he wins every game 1-0 and bores the arse of everyone - the bloke is a proven winner . after hearing the rag twat i work with this morning moaning once more how united are putting them "through the mill " !!! i would have robert mugabe as manager as long as he guarenteed winning something ?

get ready to see the worst football played by a city team for years. It will be worse than when Pearce was here

Chelsea scored 3 goals or more in a third of their games home and away under Mourinho.

get ready to see the end of SWP, Stevie Ireland, Jonno and Elano.

Maybe SWP, but why do you think that Ireland, Johnson and Elano would go. Scaremongering?

get ready to see City players cheating and diving and having no respect for the ref.

My biggest concern if Mourinho was to come, and something I would hope the majority of supporters would make clear at the matches is unacceptable.

I fucking hate Mourinho and don't want the grubby bastard anywhere near the COMS

Mourinho in.

Its a myth that chelsea played boring football under mourinho.

Agree, the first 2 years they played great football.

bollocks, he sets his team up with the primary objective to defend and then hopes for a scrappy 1-0.... with plenty of diving and cheating thrown in to the mix... his teams are some of the most frustrating teams i've ever seen

Yeah, like I can see us playing three defensive midfielders for a start...........................oh hang on

Aside from the obscenely infalted salary we'd give him, would he come? I see it as a similar situation as to why the elite players won't come to us (yet). The elite managers are interested in taking the top prizes, and we're currently in a building process. We need to be in a situation similar to that of chelsea prior to the abramovich cash before we should be taking on the top names (although to be fair, the players chelsea signed to win them titles weren't exactly superstars regardless of the price tags). I just think if we go all out breaking the bank while the squad is still evidently developing it will crash and burn. Successful teams don't happen overnight, and my own thoughts are to give hughes a chance to develop this team/squad until we are ready to step up to the next level after a couple of seasons being real challengers for 3/4/5 spot.
