If Mourinho comes..

I'll admit to being biased on this subject as I absolutely detest Mourinho and the way he sets his teams up.

I honestly believe we will be good under Hughes. Our away form is an anomoly and won't happen next year.

I believe in Hughes and what he can achieve given a reasonable amount of time to stamp his authority on the squad. He has the form to get us some gems in the transfer market and if mixed with right "big name" signings, I can see us being a real force next year. We've already made COMS a fortress of sorts and when we fix the away form, which we will, we will be an extremely good side under Hughes.

Why go with Mourinho now? A new start, new players, uncertainty, he is not guaranteed to win things, you all seem to forget how sour it went at Chelsea in his last 18 months. He doesn't have a divine right to win anything. He'd still have to rebuild, something he has never done.
If Mourinho leaves Inter, and I agree he may, because he's not popular, he will probably go to somewhere like Real Madrid.

You very conveniently dismiss our away form as an anomaly. I think Hughes can solve this problem, butit much is dependent on the acquisition of a centre-forward to hold the ball up front away from home. At the moment every attack just peters out

something he tried to rectify with Santa Cruz in January only Fat Sam wanted to play silly buggers. Which brings me onto the point that I think he will go with a 4-4-2 a lot more next year which will suit our squad a lot more. I'm looking forward to next year under Hughes

tbh i think you over-estimate how much he would need to do when he takes over.

hughes has worked to his brief of identifying the shite and this cull will be implemented regardless.

we have a nucleus of players:

Given, Hart, Nedum, Bridge, Zabaleta, de Jong, Kompany, Ireland, SWP, Robinho, Petrov, Bojinov, Johnson, Elano, Bellamy

any manager would be happy enough to start with that and then add 6-8 new signings plus the youth in order to formulate a team capable of top 4.

might be pie in sky but if we added the following:

Villa, Ibrahimovic, Kaka, Lescott, Alonso, Glen Johnson, Hangeland (200 mil would cover...)

that squad would piss the top 4.

We talk about playing the "City" way-can anyone under 40 tell me what that is?A winning mentality and respect for the club & manager is what i call the "City" way-playing powder puff tiptap football is for clubs like West Ham & Tottenham-we have big asparations so lets get a manager with equal attributes.

Chelsea are still benefiting from the Jose reign because he instilled what being a proffesional footballer is all about,and it pains me to say it but look at the scumbags over the road.Hughes would have gained my respect if he had fucked the carthorse defender as captain.If thats Hughes's idea of a leader then we are really fucked.

what if he comes and we still win nothing? who do we blame then?

Dunne, he seems to get blamed for fucking everything else.

2nd goal at the swamp was Elano's fault. He booted the ball over the line for no reason and then let his man receive a quick throw in, yet Dunne and Nedum somehow copped it on here

no offence to anyone but i hate moriniho and people like him. he is stuck up like mark hughes. again no offence.

Well as long as he's not stuck up Mark Hughes I don't give two monkeys, as long as we get some sort of success in the next 2-3 years

Mourinho= plenty of 1.0ers ala george graham stylie
Mourinho=top contacts,attraction 4 top players
Mourinho=big character,very entertaining,players play 4 him.

I think i and many other blues would swap a champions league place on the back of many dull but winning games instead of mid table mediocrity with a few flicks and tricks thrown in(remember where we were the last time we had trick merchants,ala GIO!!)
We have a great oppurtunity that was dropped in our laps last season,a gift from the gods(or allah)delete as required,CASH and lots of it when everyone else has none,so were not gonna attract anyone with sparky at the helm whereas jose imo is a perfect match 4 top dollar drawer purchases,so f*** sentiment and do wats best 4 mcfc o'royal 1!!

Sdavros,it was a dig at Hughes for having Dunne as captain-a role that doesnt suit him on bit.Have you ever seen Dunne rallying the troops or facing upto a ref?We should rotate the captains role to give them all some responsability during the season.
