If not Hodgson, who?

I don't get this clamour for Howe. Yeah he's done great for Bournemouth, but it reminds me when the media were calling for the likes of Coppell, Jewell, and Pearce to be England manager after good first Premier League seasons with Reading, Wigan, and City. Even Holloway was considered until Blackpool collapsed midway through. The acid test will be next season for Bournemouth. Reading had a very good first season in the PL, relegated the next one, same with Wigan, though they managed to stay up on the last day, and Jewell resigned. To throw someone in to the hot seat after one PL season, where, apart from beating United, they looked very poor against all the top sides, would just be foolish. Pardew would be a disaster, at the moment, Big Sam is the best of a bad bunch. Or they could go for someone British, Moyes or Giggs anyone?

For a foreign option, Jorge Sampaoli did a great job for Chile, but he's having supposedly having talks with Sevilla, with Emery going to PSG.

Not sure why any young British manager would take a sip from this poisoned chalice. It is bound to end in a reputation damaging failure.

It will probably be Neville.
