Don't forget mate, it allows some people to position themselves on a higher place on the "biggest blue" podium as well if they can admonish someone who shows dissent at the current situation. The problem with all the people shouting about "entitlement" is they are taking every shred of disappointment as someone being "entitled". This is complete bollocks.
There are plenty of fans on this forum who are disappointed, pissed off and bloody angry about how things have turned to rat-shit so quickly. And one win in twelve is rat-shit in my book.
However, I've not yet met a single City fan who is considering suspending their support until we improve. We don't need to replace fans who aren't going to turn their backs on us in the first place.
I did all but two competitive games (home and away) in our single season in the third tier and I don't need someone to tell me how to support my team. It's shit at the moment, and today's result at the swamp showed why we should all still be bloody angry about losing to such a shite rag team last weekend.
I believe the rags were booed off today. Did that happen last week? No. It was stunned silence in all the home sections.
Cycles come and go as you say, but the recent collapse is probably the biggest plummet from grace of all champions since the 1937-38 season. Or Leicester if you want something from the current era. As for "it's not why many of us were here to begin with"; well that's bloody obvious given that so many of our current fans were here before the takeover. It won't bother me if we lose a few glory-seekers, but I doubt we'll lose any long-term fans due to a poor run of form.
