If the rot continues what happens ?

The rot will continue until start scoring again. We play high risk football but we’re not scoring enough. Its putting huge pressure on a defence that can’t cope.

We’ve sold Mahrez and Alvarez and a 34 year old Gundogan is not able to score at the rate of a 32 year old Gundogan plus KDB seems unable to play much. We are relying on Haaland and Gvardiol and a woefully off form Foden. Savinho has ability but no composure, Doku always tries to score the same goal.

We didn’t play terribly today, at least not until the last 20 minutes or so. Problem was when we were on top we didn’t take our chances and of course the missed penalty led to our confidence evaporating.

I thought from the missed pen we were dreadful. Heads dropped, energy levels dropped, second balls were not being contested and passing was sloppy.

Whilst we played quite well first half. I can’t remember Pickford making any notable saves other than the penalty.

We have become very predictable and fairly easy to defend against. Without peak De Bruyne/Alvarez and with a very out of form Foden, we just are incapable of pulling the rabbit out of the hat to win games with the goal out of the blue.

Unless we make signings, I’m not sure what is going to change unless the whole defence suddenly gets and stays fit.

I just had a look at the premier league table, if we had won 2 more games we would be third, considering the miserable run we have been on, it shows how bad the whole league is this year when we are even anywhere close to the top four
And the rags would be on 19. Mad.

KDB is injured and can barely play 20 minutes

From December onwards after not featuring against Liverpool....

74 mins against Forest and to me was the best player on the pitch
86 mins against Palace
90 mins against Juventus
68 mins against the rags leading when he came off and set up the goal

Been on the bench since. Played substantially more than 20 minutes in all those games.

Watch this. This is our manager and nearly all our players. We've made a few shit signings and need to rectify that over the next year or so. But this was/is our team. The suggestions of a cull is fucking ridiculous. We're in full transition now. If you cant handle it do one. Bye bye. You wont be missed.

the rot wont stop until we work as a unit, press harder than now, track back off the ball to help defence, move the ball quicker and with urgency and drive instead of countless passes from wingers to fullback to CB to Kovacic rinse and repeat.

when we do this opponents know we are out of ideas and we fall back to this nonsense slow aimless passing which is often one press away from losing the ball (unless we give it away ala Gvardiol) and we can sprint back to our box and even if we do there wont be anyone to block a cross. we are so slow we dont even have the time to do a tactical foul on these counters we face. we cannot catch them even for that.

can Bernardo, Doku, Grealish work their ass off, can Gundogan, KDB do it at their age? I dont think so and it shows. some of them cannot even stay fit to start 3 games in a row.

some players past it and tired and were looking at Saudi payday with 10% of responsibilty (Walker, Ederson), some others just burnt out after last few seasons and probably need a change of scenery.(Bernardo, after wanting to leave for so long)

stil this collective drop of form says to me there is something wrong in the dressing room and fair enough it didnt get out into public. nothing explains that every single player turned to shit between mid October and today. its a bit like downing tools etc.
when a side is in a bad period there are always a few players that still doing ok nd better than the rest. I cant say anyone is better than the rest. Gvardiol, Haaland were kind of these until a 6weeks ago but now they are shit too and getting worse.

our best players are now Rodri and Bobb who had only a few minutes between them this season. Carson is the top performer. lol

He was over played and his return wasn’t managed by Pep so has aggravated his injury. He’s still injured otherwise clearly he’d be playing if not. It’s not some wild conspiracy.

Seriously mate, cull? Has someone actually said that or is it your interpretation of what some are suggesting in relation to overhauling the squad over the next few windows.
