If the rot continues what happens ?

chance of a double double which has never been done before yet the players were allowed to get hammered on the parade and half of them if not most arrived at that final hungover , totally unprofessional imo the parade shoudve waited until after the final
Wires crossed mate. The parade was after the final. The players were pissed the week after winning the title in the build up to the final. Either way it was shite.

We have to remember that when Pep first came in we finished 4th the season before and then 3rd in his first season. That was the start of this cycle and now we're at the end. Pep is now back at a similar position to day one. He inherited a spent team which had already been on a 5 year journey since Mancini had first walked in.
Kompany, Silva, Kun, Fernandinho, Kevin, Sterling were all there when he took over and were by no means finished.
If he were to leave tomorrow only Rodri, Foden, Días and Haaland could be mentioned in the same breath. And the first group contains 5 bona fide all time City legends.

Rodri already is, the other 3 still have a bit to do.

Eh? The parade was on the Monday (or was it Sunday?) night after the debacle that was the final

If he's got anything about him, first day back he goes and demands a massive pay increase.
No player at the club should be on anywhere near Rodders salary

Trade unionist of the very worst kind.

And I suspect that our management are way ahead of you.

Think the poster was pointing out, when Pep took over we were the one of or the Smallest height wise, slowest and oldest squads in the league, which we are now.

Indeed but that team did not achieve what this team has. How many trophies did they all win before Pep? Pellegrini won two league cups and one title and that was it over 3 seasons. Before that in Mancini's last year they won nothing.

That spine of the team was hungry for trophies but Pep still needed to buy players to win and they all grew into it together. Now they've all won everything that there is to win many times over. It is the new young players who are now hungry but they're inexperienced and nothing sums it up more than what Nunes did yesterday.

KDB has 6 titles under his belt and he's 33 with his contract ending in 6 months. We can't expect the same standards of him as he played years ago but that's where we are because he's the best player that we have.

Top four (or apparently might be five this year) is a big, big target. Money may not guarantee success but it gives you multiple attempts at success.
The only target for me.

If we can keep Kova fit I don't see why it isn't achievable. We are 5th and have been shite. At some point the fever needs to break.
