If there were to move the away fans

Personally I would like to see them fucked off into one of the corners of level 3!

However would it not be a bit dangerous to put the away fans in the upper tier with regards to objects being thrown down etc!

How meny steps do we go up at the Barcodes

id go for putting them where the kippax 'singing section' is at the moment (prob about 1,500) - and then the rest on 2nd tier above that (like where we were put in Schalke). Putting them there would mean it is still pretty close to coach park location at the moment. Then we can put all fans who want to stand/sing behind that goal there - thus, still being near the away fans for bit of banter

Blue John - I presume 4 times is in reference to the infamous Thomas Cook trophey victories!

I suggested this before and I shall do again...

IMO we need about 50 PRO-CITY singers (not those in 111 who like to wind up the away fans - you stay there!) to relocate to the bottom tier of the North Stand. If these 50 we're all located together gradually more people in the North Stand would join in. And when the South Stand and the North Stand are singing... We might see action from the East and CBS!

I'm sure there is 50 spare seats in the North Stand at the moment that aren't held by season ticket holders (certain in fact), so grouping them together at 136/137 would work... NOW I'm aware that this idea was toyed with at the Forest game in the cup, and nothing really happened - basically because the club had no involvement in it so whoever did sit round there wasn't sure what was going on.

I'm a PRO-CITY singer - and I would leave my lovely view on the 2nd tier to help generate an atmosphere at the other end of the ground... Is anyone else with me?!

liamctid - good shout that but if we split the singers up all over i fear the atmosphere would be worse where as if you have 1 or 2 decent stands with a lot of singers in the ground would start getting loud and all the non-singers start to sing!

o ye you was right it is because of the thomas cook trophie long story but great memories of how it all started!

Not that I'm gonna wank off over Chelsea's atmosphere - but I think its better than ours - For years there main noise was in the Mathew Harding Stand because the away fans we're positioned down the side of the pitch near them... they moved them to the other end at the Shed and created a group called the Shed 100 - 100 fans who used to go on the Shed in the 70s and 80s - to recreate some atmosphere. Now both ends sing and when there playing well, all the ground sings. I know all this because my best mate is a ST at the Bridge and he says that since the Shed 100 was created its really livened up the ground.

Similarly, Villa Park - I thought there fans were the loudest I've seen for awhile. You have the supporters in your face - like we have in 111 and 117 - but then theres the Holte End.

I know what your saying, 4times, you want to see the joining of our vocal sections, but I think, let those that are there stay there and create something down the other end. Sunderland for example - great and in your face, but pretty flat cos no one else in the ground sings apart from the one corner.

you are so wrong about this.

Your North Stand idea will not work. What you have to realise is that a different type of Blue goes into each stand. A lot of this is the inheritance from when we relocated from Maine Road. The West Stand is all the old men from the old main stand sit, for example. The North Stand seems mainly families to me.

the vast majority of our vociferous support sit down at the South Stand end.

However, when their is an opportune moment for singing a song, either both of our signing ends start one up at once, or one of our singing ends and the away fans start together.

Either way, the rest of the ground will mainly just join in with sings being sung, if they are loud enough. They don't do it when two songs are started at once.

The North Stand is pretty much the Family stand. Leave it like that. 3 singing sections would make things worse. I know why you are saying this - because of the rare occasion the North Stand starts a song the rest of the ground sometimes joins in. That's mainly because both of our singing areas hear it at once and both start it independantly.

Why can't the away fans stay where they are and just move our singing section behind the opposite goal, i know you all like the banter and like to be close to the away fans, but wouldn't you rather have your own end where you can pack en mass and try and raise the roof. Or is it going to be a case that they move the away fans and everyone wants to follow them so they can continue the banter. This is certainly the easiest way to do it, and logistically easily workable. It works at most of the big clubs, think the kop, stretford end, etc...
