if we finished 5th...

would you want Mancini to stay? Or would you want a new manager who would inevitably buy half of a new team? Though I guess the decision will be made by the board regardless of what we think.

I'd rather stick with Bobby and have a second year of most of these lads together than start all over, yet again. Just imo of course.

Agreed, success comes wiyh stability and gradually improving. Not short sharp swapping and changing managers, which leads to changing players/tactics; all of which would take longer to bring success.

I've just done the BBC predictor thing for the remainder of the season found here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... efault.stm) I've tried to be as fair as possible in my predictions, and I'm afraid it will all come down to our home game against Spuds just like last year. If we win that we qualify, a draw it will be down to goal difference, lose and it's 5th! they seem to have the easier of the fixyures for the remainder of the season, but they have Chumps league which might effect their league form.

Was thinking really we need them to get to semi's of chumps to keep them occupied while they have 0 defenders

He said Europa League but the new rule is the winner qualifies and 4th place is void!!!

If we finish 5th then it means that Spurs and Chelsea will have finished in the top 4. So its irrelevant who wins the CL if they are in the top4 anyway.

... Hence why I said we'd be playing in the Europa League.
Sorry; just read your original post and I had misunderstood it. You are correct; my humble apologies!

In my final table:

Chelsea 82
United 82
City 74
Arsenal 73
Liverpool 62
Tottenham 59
Sunderland 52
Everton 51
Aston Villa 50
Birmingham 49
Newcastle 45
Stoke 45
Bolton 45
Blackburn 44
Blackpool 44
Wolves 42
Fulham 39
West Brom 34
West Ham 33
Wigan 32

So, that has City gaining 28 points from a possible 39 in the last set of games this season. Do you think we can do it? Somehow, my predictions seem a little off.

If Bobby Manc wins anything for us it would be very difficult for the board to sack him regardless of finishing in the top 4 so should we reach a semi final he would be a very worried man if we weren't in top 4 at the time, but there again the board wouldn't be that stupid as to sack someone at that stage would they?
