Yeah
Yeah it's wank around the stadium but London is a fantastic City. Personally I love any London game, a couple of days in the capital I generally find really enjoyable.
Great music scene in London and always something to do. Each to their own though.
I would choose Edinburgh and have a season ticket at Tynecastle get to see City when I could.I lived and worked in London too long. It's novelty wore off after a few years tbh.
To be fair, if I had to live in a major town or city again, I'd most likely choose London over any other in the UK.
..and flights.Yes. Hotel already booked in Istanbul
Played in Athens (well, Piraeus). Here's a thought, and it's utterly improbable, but if the blue shirted heroes are crowned champions of Europe and the urchins win the Thursday Night trophy, a super cup derby on the cards?
Very long way to go, we've got to go and win the damn thing, and the twats will hopefully get a schooling lon before the final, but if wishes were horses...!?
I think either of the Milan clubs or Benfica would pass off as a peaceful occasion. I've always regarded Napoli as being the Dippers of Italy - see themselves as separate from the rest of the country and a detestable set of fans.So it's getting easier to predict who we could play in Istanbul.
Napoli would be the worst potential final. Not only are they the best team on that side of the draw, they're also horrible scummy bastards who'll be out to pick off City fans and cause trouble. Both AC and Inter have sizable hooligan elements, but nothing that City fans would be deterred by.
I'd still go regardless, but it was nice in Porto how the whole City got taken over by City - I barely saw a Chelsea fan the whole time. No issues, just tons of Mancs enjoying a beer in the sun.
Slabhead to give that one a swerve?!'-)Played in Athens (well, Piraeus).
She sounds like a jinxIstanbul. Fascinating city and for an added sentimental reason. In my 20's i went around Turkey for a few weeks with a nice NZ lass I knew in London. Had planned to end the trip at the ANZAC war cemetery at Gallipoli where the grandad she never knew is buried but had to cut travels short when the Turks invaded Cyprus. Didn't make it to Gallipoli and in spite of a time spent in NZ didn't make it as a couple eventually, either, though she did come to the 1981 Wembley replay with me. She never got back to Turkey so either a few days before or after the CL Final I'll pay belated respects to Corporal MacDonald, died of wounds in 1915.
