If we win the UCL, will we play the Club World Cup?

it is considered an honour in many countries, but in europe considered a joke or irritation.

we will be in it if we win so may as well go for the trophy

Totally pointless competition. Did lfc win it, add it to their 'achievements', tell everyone they were the best on the planet?

If we win the CL, I'd hope we didn't have to enter this noddy competition.
It’s a traditional trophy, a minor trophy, but still a trophy that the continental champions play for.

It has origins as a competition older than the English Football League with the 1876 Football World Championships (between the English and Scottish FA Cup winners).

I’ll be delighted if we get to play in it. I’d celebrate winning it like I do the Community Shield and it would be a very welcome addition to our trophy room.

Think im in the minority but the chance to see City play potentially a South American team in a competitive game really appeals to me (its normally the European Champions vs the South American Champions in the Final).

I'd even like us to be in that expanded version from 2025, not saying i want a world super league etc.. to become the norm but playing other team from around the world competitley once every few years in a copetiton everyone has qualified for to find out who is the best club team would be really interesting in my eyes and at least something different to playing all the same teams year in year out.

2 games to win it and all the money and publicity that comes with it? Yes please.

Probably the last one before FIFA take over and have it in the Summer which will be huge bucks and if we win on Saturday we qualify for that too.

Its bigger than the CL outside of Europe particularly in South America.

European clubs didn’t used to take it seriously but in the last 20 years that isn’t true anymore.

This tournament might have destroyed Klopp's season after their fortunate CL trophy. They had brought in almost no new players in the summer, as well. It obviously turned out they kept winning, and the league was over by the time COVID break came. Their narrow supercup win over Chelsea and this tournament were good for them.
