If we're going to lose our title ...

I just don't want to give them a guard of honour in April, fight till the end city, it's over but the season isn't yet!

Guards of Honour are the stuff of myth and urban legend and in their desperation to gloat and hold premature wank festivals, only the arrogant scum think differently.

Not winning the title is more familiar than winning it.

I know now our ambitions are a lot higher along with expectation but you must always have some perspective.

Obviously the leagues not over until it's mathematically impossible to win it but I won't lose any sleep if we don't win it.

You can't win it every year, like we proved last season. Also, what did United win last season?

As long as we are consistently challenging for the title and up that end of the table that's all I ask for

The worst case scenario is that just like the rags last year, our one and only trophy will be the Community Shield. Its disappointing but it hardly gives cause to be entering into suicide pacts.

Exactly, United won nothing but the Community Shield last season but look at them this year.

As long as we are consistently up there and don't fall away like Chelsea and Arsenal have then what more can you ask.

2nd place (for arguments sake) and another piece of silverware for that matter in the CS, isn't the worst thing that's happened to the club.

Fair point!

If we're going to lose it, then we'll at least, hopefully, beat the rags at the swamp. It'll be a moral victory. Quite sad that we're not closer to them, if not on top. I thought that we had stopped being in the shadow of the rags, but it looks like if we're going to finally dominate them and make them be in our shadow we're going to have to wait a year or 2.

Like most i think it's gone and i'm already getting over it.
The fact we surrendered it without so much as a fight does hurt though.

Thats what hurts the most, the sniveling cowardly way we haven't manned up this season at all. Some players need to look at themselves in the mirror and ask do they want to play for us, if they don't we need to get rid. Mancini/Ballotelli the incest love in hasn't helped either he should have gone last season, one rule for the Goose and a different rule for the Turkey. I think Bobby's a dead duck (no pun intended) and he's going to be shot at this close season thats for sure.

... would you rather lose it with a few games to go or on the very last day of the season?
Said the exact same thing to a rag at work this morning who greeted me with, " eh, 12 points clear hey". I responded with." You can win 200 titles for all I care, but not one of them will feel the same as May 13th did for us last year". With that he just said, " suppose so, but that will never happen again". As he walked off I just said, "exactly my point". Cue face like a slapped arse.

Quality mate, gonna save that one for a red tw@ at work!

Totally agree.

That moment WILL go down in Premiership history. I still look at the clip on you tube and will do for years. As well as the Paul Merson clip.

dont care how/if/why we lose it if it has to be
but i want to see bollocks out on the pitch showing like they care
saturday they didn't and that hurts

all the supporter wants is first and foremost is to play for the shirt you wear!!!
