Maybe because those two clubs now its not financially beneficial to pay 30 Million for a 31 year old?

Re: "if he was white" claims. Since fifa world player of the year/ ballon d'or started in 1991 a non white player has won it 8 times or just under 35%. This doesn't include the 2? times that zidane won it who is of algerian descent.
