if you are going to napoli-beware

Hi, i already introduced myself as a Napoli supporter, i want to explain something about us. It's all very simple, after all. Among our fans, just like for any other team, we have shit heads. The very soul of Napoli is peaceful and joyful, then you have the guys that just want to be violent. But it has nothing to do with football, they just want to find a reason to show how stupid they are. We are a pretty big city, but not so rich, we are similar to South America, and football, expecially in Maradona's age, was our chance to get a sort of revenge against the rich Berlusconi's Milan, Juventus of Agnelli family(FIAT and Ferrari and probably any Italian car industry's owner), and Inter (i don't remember who was the owner in those days :P ). That's why to us football is not just a sport, it's almost a religion, a faith, and you saw yourself, we're the ones who never stop singing and jumping just to help our players. It was a few days ago that Lavezzi came to the centre in order to buy some clothes. You can see what happened in this video:

I may speak on behalf of nobody but me, i don't belong to any supporters association, but i may assure that we are really greatful of the behaviour of City's fans, we had a lot of fun yesterday, and i'm sure that the real suppoerter of Napoli will be happy to have you as guests on 22nd of November. Then, of course, watch out for the shit head, they are everywhere, you know!

PS Although i'm actually living out of Napoli, i'm doing my best to be at San Paolo Stadium (i wish it was such great stadium as English ones!) for the match against City, if there's anybody who want to come to Napoli and has any question, i'd be very glad to answer!

Liverpool fans got their revenge on Napoli fans with the help of numerous bouncers and Everton fans. Napoli fans are great but they are a bit like the Geordies they go round abusing everyone and when they get attacked they complain. Liverpool I'm sad to say absolutely twatted Napoli last year mainly their innocent fans. It was City fans and Napoli fans there's no need to BS, Napoli fans aren't stupid stop blaming it on other fans. Every club has their share of morons Napoli fans are intellgient enough to realise it was the actions of a minority. Doesn't make sense why would City fans join with Liverpool to fight Napoli it doesn't make sense. Scousers and Mancs hate each other.

My mate and me were walking near the Merc garage and saw the group of scally scousers mentioned early in this post. They were clearly 'up for it' (although it seems now they weren't !)

Thank you, i just speak the English we learn at school, i'm sure i'd have some troubles in understanding the English that you really speak. Plus, although writing and reading is pretty easy for me, so far, it's difficoult to me listening and understanding.

About the match, i didn't really enjoyed it. The truth is that the whole day was so long, waiting so hard for the evening. But after hal minute of match, i was just hoping for the end of it! Although in the end it's been a great match for us because we showed to Europe that we are here and we're trying so hard to compete against the greatest teams such as yours, whenever the ball passed near the feet of Silva, Aguero, Dzeko, well, i had the feeling you could score at any moment. 90 minutes (and overtime!) with this anxiety, just in part i could relax when i started to jump and shout after Cavani scored. But it's been a short joy. I don't live in Napoli, as i said, i'm actually in Pisa. Now i suppose that every neighbour of mine knows i'm a Napoli supporter for how mouch loudly i shouted! I'm sure it was something similar to you, the emotion of the Champion's League, after too much time! Probably for you this is your best team ever! We could never have a better team of Maradona's age, but this is the second best team we've ever had. 7 years ago we were in Serie C, the third division! Great feeling, it's been wonderful sharing it with someone of the like of you! Really!

I'm 41 years old had season ticket (on and off) since being 6, seen loads of trouble over the years, but (nearly) always avoided it, i used to go home and away but now just home, the last few years me the misses and 2 kids(seasoncards) this year just me and the misses, i feel like the bad old days r coming back, iv'e always had a sense for trouble and for 4 out of the last 5 games iv'e felt uncomfortable, is it just me getting old or is there something to it?

They never really went away,what happened was the authorities,banning orders and the police got on top of it more.All seater stadiums and ticketed games along with cctv also helped.

In the 70's you could just turn up early and queue up and get in the home end usually unnoticed.You would wait until kick off then start chanting and it all went up.After a furious scrap the police usually waded in and escorted you around to where the main bulk of your own fans were.There was little segregation but every club had a staunch home end where if you went in you would get battered if they sussed you.

Getting to and from the ground could be dicing with death too,particularly at Liverpool and Leeds.The London clubs were always well organised too and knew the underground system better than us.

If you weren't nicked on the day there was little chance of getting nicked,no cctv images and a knock on the door 3 months later.Most times the police wouldn't charge you anyway,just give you a whacking and throw you out.The Liverpool police were particularly bad and would often throw you out near their fans so you got another kicking.

It is now 100% safer than it was,but no you are right,it is creeping back,probably fuelled by films like football factory and green street.Don't get me wrong at times it was a buzz but there was nothing romantic or funny being chased through the dark wet streets of Liverpool on a Wednesday night with what seemed like the whole of the City after you!The up and coming young hoolies who think it is all fun will soon learn that one!
