Mic the refs as it was mentioned already. They do it in rugby and we can atleast hear their thinking. They do it in American football as well where they pretty much explain their decisions to the entire stadium. That's a bit ott, but hearing what they are saying would be nice.
Refs are so unapprochable in the game when a player approaches they get sent away straight away, now there's no room for abusing the ref on a pitch, but I do think there are times when it wouldn't be out of the question for a ref to talk to the players.
Just the captains should be able to talk to the ref without being threatened with a yellow. And likewise if there's a problem the ref could call aside a player and their captain to explain what it is he wants from them.
And I think treatement should be given while the game plays on. Time only to be stopped if it's very serious.
It would stop a lot of pissing about the place.
Or time be stopped when there's an injury.
This would allow for goal line technology to be brought in and stop the clock when there's a challenge.
