Dzeko for Mata, or assuming Dzeko isn't classed as first 11, Nasri for Mata. I'd have gone for Ozil but he's still in his honeymoon period. Mata and Silva still do it after everybody knows 100% what they're about, I think Arsenal will drop off in the title race when Ozil starts to get double marked out of the game.

Thought the whole idea of a swap was to involve like for like players. Dzeko and Mata are totally different types of player. Your alternative (involving Nasri) is closer to the mark.

I really want academy players to come through instead of swapping. But if I were to pick my main choice would be

Jan Vertonghen for Lescott

Don't mind doing these 3 either:

1. Paulinho/Sandro for Garcia (Don't mind getting either Sandro or him really)
2. Baines for Clichy (Ashely Cole would cut it for me as well)
3. Benteke for Dzeko (Lukaku comes a close 2nd)

These 4 would be instand upgrades on what we have I think.

If you could swop a player from another Prem Team for one of our first choice players to improve City just for this season, who would it be?
(I can only think of Petr Cech for Joe, but I am sure the left back position could also be a contender)

Sorry mate. For me whiltshire is well over rated. All because he is english. Hes the new scott parker and no more.
Many many better players in his position for me.

Yaya Toure when he's strolling around, not working hard enough and being ineffective; for Yaya Toure when he's at his best. I think that's the biggest difference in our team between us playing well and not, more so than even when Kompany isn't there.

YES. and when he is doing this with only Garcia covering I get very worried indeed so others must be noticing! When this combination occurs I would actually swap them both for Jones on the premise that at least we wouldn't ever play Jones - but we do put up with a strolling/give the ball away Yaya covered only by Garcia. Come on Yaya if I can even mention you in the same sentence as Phil the Face you need to give us the player I love watching more often.
