He's supposed to be a very patient and clever business man, but If you were in sheikh Mansoor's shoes right now, what would you do???? Just curious to see what decisions some of you would make.

I really dont think there is anything to be gained in sacking Hughes this year so I would keep it as it is.

Stick with Hughes for another season, and give him whatever he needs over the summer to bring in the players he wants.

I'd weight up the possible replacements should i sack the manager, and if there were any attainable people that i thought were certain to do a better job than Hughes in relation to my long-term targets and objectives, i'd bring them in.

If there was no such manager available i'd stick with him and give him another season at least.

Then again i'm not a patient and clever businessman.

I think Hughes is a decent manager, just not for us at this time. However, i think its pretty certain he will stay barring a ridiculous end to the season.

What did it for me was his total "eggs in one basket" approach to the transfer window in January. It was clearly obvious that we needed a frontman from September onwards last year, yet when the window opened we didnt have a plan B. We had a whole month to solve the problem, yet didnt. Yes we got Bellamy, but he's not the type of striker i'm talking about.

We're now stuck with limbering through to the end of the season with a mixture of Caceido, Evans and Sturridge, and I would guess at least 2 out if the 3 wont be at the club in the summer.

Driving back down the M6 last night,me and my mate were discussing the situation.

Of all the players in our squad the ones who have been the most dissapointing this season have been non-Hughes signings like Richards,Dunne and Fernandes.Hughes signings on the whole have been excellent so maybe giving him another summer to bring more of his own players in may be better than sacking him and starting again.
If things do not improve by christmas then he will have to go.

If Hughes is to succeed as manager of Manchester City then he has got to resolve his personal differences with players like Elano ,because as we all saw last night when given the opportunity Elano can be awesome.

Dunne and Richards MUST be replaced if we are to mover forward to where we want to be.As soon as Dunne got booked last night everyone round me knew that he would get sent off,yet he still was flying into challenges.I think that sometimes he just doesnt think!
As for Micah, well, what can I say.He looks so bloody heavy and slow. When he was faking that injury I was going off my head.He believes his own press to much and needs to be knocked down a peg or 2.Maybe a spell on the sidelines would be beneficial

I'd see if there was a world-class manager out there with a penchant for, and proven track-record of, delivering instant success for mediocre sides. Then I'd hand Hughes the money and hope that his next batch of prosaic signings are as good as the first lot. Then I'd give him a bit more and tell him specifically to replace the vast majority of so-called strikers on our books.

I would tell MH to pack his bags and be gone by the time Franl Rykaard get here
