If you were in his shoes.

And getting rid of another manager is the right thing to do?

Even though he has brought in some great players and has seemingly dealt with the dead wood?
Doesn't appear to be able to motivate the team until we're desperate
Got us too another quarter-final?
Big deal. I'm sick of not progressing beyond QF's
Improved our home form?
Have you conveniently forgotten our shit away form
Changed the structure and attitude of the team?
I'm baffled! In what way?

We have to stick with him, if all would have been fit last night we wouldn't have had one Sven player in the team (assuming Bell's came in for Caiceido and SWP for Elano). Thats a huge change in less than twelve months. Everyone keeps talking about a 'big name manager' well Wenger wasn't huge when he started at arsenal but i am sure every player in the world would play for him now, same as the swamp, cock face wasn't a big name manager.

Just support the manager, if a new one comes in, then he might want another 11 new players which would mean starting again.

I would judge Hughes on his tenure at the club both on and off the field and whether Hughes can achieve the level of success I want for the club over the next three seasons.

And then after about 5 minutes I would ask my people to find me a world class manager to replace Hughes in the summer :)

This is not a question that can be seriously answered until at least June. With no senior international tournament this summer, there is enough time to buy and sell players, as well as sound out other managers. However, I cannot see that ADUG would be incliined to rush in to anything, as that could demonstrate weakness and/or incompetence. Bad luck is one thing [and that's why we're out of the UEFA] but bad planning is another entirely. MH will surely have the summer to get matters in order but be gone by January if we're not in the top six, despite whatever may be said in the meantime. It's up to Hughes now and he has every opportunity to succeed. If he doesn't, he has no-one else to blame.

Knowing that it was a SVEN buy that INSPIRED the team performance, how the fook can you justify what you said??

Curiously I don't think ADUG are judging Hughes based on whether he is better than Sven or not. In fact I doubt whether ADUG ever think about Sven. Being better than Sven is not the essential qualification to be City manager.

Which for Hughes is probably just as well...

Although I did make Elano our best player last night (a Sven buy) and Big Phil (a Sven buy) did score and all Sven ever did with Richards and Dunne was turn them into one of the best defensive partnerships last season so really I am at a loss to know what f**king point you are trying to make

I would evaluate what I actually see in Hughes. I would look at his results and expenditure. I would look at the progress made this season in comparison to the previous year. I would ask myself, 'will this man turn my team into successful, trophy winning team?'

Then I'd sack him.

i think Elano was great last night but do you honestly think he would have played if SWP was fit?

I personally feel like this, especially after Fulham and various woeful away games. However, it may be to the club's advantage that the 'bosses' are removed from the immediacy, as it is all too easy to get lost in the passion and the disappointment, which is our lot as fans. Wouldn't you rather that we had cool-headed, billionaire businessmen in charge or would you prefer a fan's forum to change the team and manager after every poor result?
