What next if you don't give up you first born daughter for a good roasting by micah et all you not a true blue!
what you've got to remember is that alot of the blues that are being slagged off fo not going, probaby the ones that when home and away in the second division! and supported us through the bad times!

WFT? Letting your daughter get roasted is being compared to paying 20 quid to go and watch the team you supposedly love? Shocking. And yes I was there in division 2, have had my season ticket 17 years and even though I am struggling for cash, I made sure I had the 30 quid to go last night.

People that havent attended any home UEFA games should be given last preference on tickets in later rounds, or dare I say the final. Its their choice completely if they dont want to go, but at least the loyal ones will then get some kind of reward for their efforts.[/quote]

Tongue in cheek comment mate taking the piss out of some of the posters who are so bothered about what other fans do fair enough rib your mates if they don't go but come on, total strangers why bother! but totally agree with your point re preference!

I chose not to go last night so i could spend some time with my 2 year old daughter. I work six days a week and commute to liverpool from audenshaw which adds another 3 and half hours onto my already long working day so i don't get a lot of quality family time. Yes, i can afford to go, no problem, it's just in my case, city comes second. If i was a single lad with nothing better to do i'm certain i would be at every game home and away like i used to do, but circumstances change and other things in life take priority. I want to see my daughter grow up rather than watch a fucking game, which is all it is. Does that make me any less of a city fan than the next man? Some people really are nuggets.

Sorry to add to this debate but i need to get it off my chest as well. It is an absolute embarrasment 24k. I came home to all my in laws who are Evertonians and they are always asking where are our fans on European nights, they were selling out Goodison this time last year in the UEFA Cup. This Credit Crunch excuse has run its course now, if we get to the Semi's there will be an extra 20k who suddenly turn up in these hard up days. I for one have been driving back from work all over the country to see these games. The UEFA Cup excites me and its all we have left to play for regarding cups. The team needs us behind them BUT then again the 24k who were there last night did us proud especially block 110 getting the atmosphere going right through the game.

RANT OVER

thats ok then....seen as my ST is in 110 i guess i have done my bit this season...that must make me a bigger, better and all together holier than thou blue than those in blocks 108, 109, etc

That's just my point mate :-) I just don't believe Blues should be slagging other Blues for not going to games when they have no idea what their personal circumstances are. What I didn't agree with was you saying that fans just couldn't be arsed going. I only get to half a dozen or so home games a season (in my case it's mainly due to my job), but it certainly isn't because I can't be arsed :-)
It's my assumptiom cheesy I know I could be wrong but IMO most couldn't be arsed I know several of that ilk but you are right who am I to judge.

Fair do's. But I still think it's uncalled for to slag off other Blues for not going even if their reason is that they just can't be arsed. Just put a proper loyalty points system in place & that solves it.

This whole 'bigger fan than you' (not aimed at you) argument that seems to have become more prevalent since the takeover that some fans have is more embarassing than not filling the stadium IMO.

LOL. What planet are you living on?

Credit crunch excuse wont come into play come Quarters or Semi's. Yeah it is bad times we all know that but we are getting closer and closer to latter stages of UEFA and IMO you pull out all the stops to go the game

Maybe not, but that's what people call prioritsing. As I said before a good loyalty points system would mean that those who don't go to all the 'lesser' games would take (& accept) the risk that they will be down the list for tickets & that's fair enough.

I'am living Merseyside way so if you ever want a lift back home from work for a game i'll gladly take you back to Audenshaw, i'am originally from Denton so no problem ;)

Yes, the credit crunch excuse is over, my job has magically re-appeared and all is well. Is it bollocks. Yes, I will try and go to a Semi- Final, and possibly the Final, if we get through, but have to sacrifice other things to get there, last night's game being one of them.
Why shouldn't I? Had season ticket since 83, went home and away for many, many years, dark days of Div 2 etc. Now times are hard, no job, and got grown up responsibilities to boot. Can do without arseholes on here slagging me off as not a true supporter cos I missed a game, ffs.
If you have driven from 'all over the country' to get to game, and can afford to, great, you are lucky to be able to do so. Can't you just be happy that you can, instead of being smug about it, and slagging those of us simply not in a position to attend every single game anymore?

Get a grip.

Accept that it was a poor attendance, draw a line under the subject and wait and see what we get in the next round. Should we get through I imagine the attenance will increase considerably

The fact of the matter is that before last night and still now is that most people still don't really believe that we can win the competition. 33 years of fuck all will tell you we won't win it, so people are reluctant to go and watch on a work night when the prices have gone up against a team they can't name a single player form in just the last 16 of the UEFA when the game is on tv anyway.

If we get to the quarter finals people might start to believe again. Particularly if the second leg is at home and we've got a decent result in the first.'Last sixteen' doesn't mean shit but 'the quarter finals' is almost there and people will start to gain a bit of hope of winning it

"I thought it was a good spontaneous song. Nothing more, nothing less. I think there was a sense around the ground tonight that we had been let down by the fans who are happy to go to Villa midweek but can't be bothered with the UEFA Cup.

For people that didn't go it is their loss and the atmosphere was probably better without them anyway, there were certainly fewer moaners there tonight."

If that was aimed at me, lets get one thing straight.
I certainly am not a moaner. I just cannot afford to go to every City game, but that does NOT mean I am any less of a city fan than anyone else. I read the first post and
it was a veiled dig at anyone who did not go.

no fucker knows who you are!!!

on another note, tonight brought a new meaning to "were not really here" ;)
"why does everything have to be aimed at you?!?!?"
What the fuck are you talking about? Ive been on this site for a while and I have never been so animated about a thread. Ask anyone, its NEVER been about me...until now. Sorry mate, but this thread was just a bit too personal. I'll remind you of the title...."if your watching on the tv your an arse".....As far as IM concerned you meant me and others. Apologise if you want....doubt you will though.

i apologise for going last night, putting money in citys coffers and supporting the lads

despite my apology, i will do this again AND AGAIN AND A FUCKING GAIN

Most people have valid excuses BUT some of mates and alot of our fans have no reason not to go, the UEFA Cup is simply not an attraction for some people and that winds me up when they talk about qualifying for it for the next season

What's your point?

You talk shite?

That is your opinion.

You should try Anger Management sometimes...it would do you good.

You have turned into a nasty vindictive little poster. Well done.

Sharon...what a waste of time getting involved in a thread like this which amounts to nothing more than Jay and a few other inadequate little people waving their imaginary dicks in the air, and showing us all what real "supporters" they are...

Quite funny really.

I didn't got to the game. "Couldn't be arsed?" Possibly. Or maybe I didn't have the money. Or maybe I did but had something more important to do. I'll try not to lose too much sleep over the fact that some think I'm a ****.

To be fair to them, I probably think they're cunts too...so it kinda works itself out...;- )

To those who went to the match - I'm proud of you.

To those who were unable to for whatever reason (like myself) - I feel for you.

To those who were able to, but couldnt be bothered - I'm dissapointed in you.

I think there will be very few of the latter.

thats what the song was aimed at, poor show that some fans didnt get that

who said city fans have got a sense of humour?

Mate, in a time when everyone, and I mean everyone, is willing us to fail, I find it incredible that after a victory you come on here and start a thread like this. IMO, it's sad and smacks of attention seeking...

BTW...you think Rafa will give Neds a game on Saturday against the rags....;- )
