the attendance of 24,000 is a bit of a Joke considering its our only chance of winning a trophy after all these years and its the last 16. Seriously, I dont think some City fans want us to win this thing. I thought 38,000 was bad for the quarter final of the FA Cup against West Ham but last night was shocking.

All the excuses have come out in work today. Examples. I didnt finish work until 6.30 (I work in town) made me laugh.
It was £25 - buy early it was £20. They'll spend more than that in the pub on Saturday night.
One lad said "I should have gone really, after seeing all them empy seats" haha this was the best one.

Seriously though I think we have seen the hardcore at these UEFA Cup matches this year. Out of the 24,000 last night I wonder how many of them were there against Walsall, Reading and Colchester at home in the old Division 2. Give or take a few id say probably about 85%

spot on, the atmosphere was actualy alot better without the no showers anyway!

the hardcore 24-5k we have is one of the best in the country, in hindsight the song last night was bound to cut abit close to the bone to those watching it on the tv

just would like people who go to matches to get tickets first. to many older season ticket holders with loads of points getting fist pick when they dont go to cup games. you used to have to show stubs for games in the competition, in the old days. how are our younger fans going to get tickets to big games.

"spot on, the atmosphere was actualy alot better without the no showers anyway"

If that was true, what the fuck are you moaning about?
Alright, I admit, you have more money, a bigger dick, and are more of a city fan than those who didn't go.

There, feel better now?

more money? erm no probably not, im a student

bigger dick? im afraid we will never find out

more of a city fan? no comment, although on the whole, you can guarentee that the hardcore 24k that we get for EVERY home match will be more loyal, vocal and more supportive than the 24k that didnt go

kthnksbye

exactly you only act upon your own concience.you do not have to answer to a website.if you didn`t go last night and you also posted on this thread trying to exempt yourself from the ignomony of being an armchair (who probable watched united the night before)your a big fat non city supporting twat

Studying what? Crowds?

I assume you are under25? If so, try to take on board the fact that people of my age have done their bit in the Kippax and are entitled to pick and choose which games they go to. Onanist.

Last time I was a ST holder was some 18 years ago now and many times we had poor attendances but I can honestly say that I never heard City fans slagging other City fans. Maybe it's just that the internet has made it easier to do. I do know it's a sad state of affairs.

Who are you calling an armchair?....You fucking beanbag.

Have any of the no shows actually said 'Do you know what, it was the UEFA Cup against a shit Danish side and I just couldn't be arsed going' yet or are all the excuses still coming from people bending over backwards to defend themselves?

Is it only us city fans struggling with the credit crunch??? Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and the rags seem to sell out or at least nearly fill their stadiums in European games. Also a lot of them rags must be on a lot of money having to travel up from London to the swamp every mid week game!! Just must be credit crunch against the blues!!

Agreed. I dont normally post on shit like this but this "holier than thou" attitude really pisses me off.
It just reminds me of the rags.

went last night gutted with the attendance i know some car nt make it for what every reason but a full 16 thou live to far away or have been hit by the credit crunch they would have been more there for a bigger club

No. They haven't. Thats because they only exist in your head.

I have a mortgage, 2 young kids and can't afford to go, but after Schalke, 3 of us made a pact that were doing the european cup all the way, home & away.
I think its an individual thing, i'm not saying i'm this and your that, but this cup run seems to be different some how,
the begining, can't explain but you know what I mean.

So I say thank you to Mr Morgan & Mr Stanley....I've got the rest of my life to pay it off.

What's money got to do with it?

I'm absolutely skinto, but there was no way I was missing City get through to the Quarters (admittedley we shouldn't start smoking cigars just yet). It's well worth going further into an overdraft for.... anyway, it was only £25.

On a side note I learnt a valuable lesson in being cocky with the ticket lady last night. I'm 28 with a full beard and I told her my party were 12. So she charged us £25 each and put is in the kindergarten section in 110. Oh well.

*holds hand up*

Yep, I'm a ****. After all, having to repay back a £12k wedding, a £2k honeymoon, putting money aside for the newborn in July as well as buying stuff in right now, added to paying my bills, rent and food, stops me doing anything for my beloved club.

But, then again, I'll accept that for my beloved family.

Feel free to call a **** all you want. When I've settled my finances I'll be back.
