Good watch this, not anywhere near his sharpest but some brilliant play to keep possession on loose balls, aggressive accurate passing and dribbling with some beautiful touches, great pressure on the opposition and a goal to cap it off. Speed of thought is only at about 60% of what he's capable of imo so plenty more to come. Fucking delighted we got this lad.

He's a player Pep has wet dreams about. He can do all those things you mentioned so he will be deadly alongside KDB. When Pep was whining about the poor final balls in previous games I'm sure he was lamenting the fact that Gundogan was injured.

It will be hard to decide between him and Silva. If both are on similar form, I would go with him simply because he's 5 years younger.

German media has it today that Gündogan told to Sportbild that Klopp gave him the advice to go to Manchester City...

His free kicks look insane at the end of the latest training video! Sterling then imitates the nonchalance of Gundogan's technique, so Ilkay boots the ball at him! He could've killed the lad.

What he actually said was that Klopp told him the premier league was perfect for him, then Gundogan said "cheers Klippety, but you better not think I'm signing for those grief obsessed, bin robbing dole scroungers you manage, I'm off to City"

I may have used some journalistic license at the end there.

His footwork is spot on. The close control and the ability to use both feet in tight spaces is perfect for us.

Once he gets used to his teammates I've no doubt he will be at the level he was a couple of years ago with Dortmund before his injury.

Excellent use all the same.

What a nice guy. Come to think of it, we haven't got any players who'd I probably wouldn't like if they played for another team.
We would probably hate them all and think of stupid names to call them by and laugh at them at every opportunity and hope they flopped and fell out with their manager and caused a stink in the dressing room.

It's going to take Silky a good few weeks to get anywhere near full fitness, tbh I'm surprised he's starting games as fitness wise he looks way off the pace at the moment.

I think "way off the pace at the moment" is a bit harsh. I think he's been excellent up until today. He did struggle today, the game was going on around him a bit. He's clearly a top player but it's going to be an interesting conundurm because I don't think it's possible to get him, Dinho, Silva and Kev in to the same line up without one of them playing out of position.
