He's just so likeable, fast becoming my favourite current player along with sterling.

We need to continue bringing in smart players like Gundy. Excellent passer, great vision, finds himself in the right spot at the right time, which is not all luck. Hope he continues to stay healthy. You can see a trust and connection growing with the front 5. If you follow his social media you can tell he a genuine class act.

Also, I will never get tired of the Pogba agent fee = Gundogan fee. Never.

Get it right mate, Silkay cost a couple of million less than Riola's fee ;-)

I can see a lot of similarity with Lampard. Lots of effort and running in the middle of the park but with ability to back it up. I think in Germany he was the conduit for a lot of the moves and sat back to get on the ball. Now with F’dinho behind and KDB in front he will have freedom to make runs off the ball and make Lampard style late runs in. I can see him scoring a lot.

A lot of people are saying he's like Lampard. If so, it would be great, but I think that is not quite who he is: I think he'll create more goals and score fewer than Lampard... Either way, we've for a potential gem here.

Spanish Dave is obviously still a major force, but with Gundogan and KDB, the post-Silva future has never looked better.

That's the thing....ask a dortmund fan if he's like Lampard and they'll probably be confused, he never scored more than 4 goals in a season for them. But for us he's already got 5, he could have had a few more. He was their deep lying creator and tempo setter.

Pep has changed his position quite considerably and the resemblance to Lampard last night was impossible to miss - I think I've heard it in 2 or 3 papers and post match analysis on BT.

Fantastic player.

When we had Lampard when he was 35 people were wondering what it would have been like to have him at 25. Now we know because Gundogan is the reincarnation of Frank (or dare I say it an improved version!).
Completely different player to fat Frank. People are paying too much attention to the goals, that's a minor part of his game. We owned Barca in midfield last night largely thanks to him. That's his game.

He has got himself in decent score positions in pretty much every game he's played so far. I'm not sure where this has come from as he was never prolific before. Not sure if mentioned already but he's already equaled his highest goals tally for a season and he's only ten games in!

Anyway, I'm absolutely loving him and I'm not entirely sure he's fully fit and settled yet.

I agree with the comments that he is much more of a puppet master than a Lampard type player, but we are playing him further forward than he did for Dortmund, so the longer his goals and influence on the game can continue the better.
