I think he's evidently got a lot of quality but he's not shown as much as I'd hope thus far. I remember him terrorising us when playing for Dortmund.

I think the system at the moment isn't getting the best out of him.
I think he's playing too deep. Silva and De Bruyne are both higher up the pitch than him at the moment and it's pushing him into a more defensive role. Against West Brom and Barcelona he was absolutely brilliant because he played in the AM role. That's where he belongs and I think that should be higher priority than Silva right now because he's six years older.

best all round game since he came to the club , although you have to take into account the poor standard of the opposition , he got a couple of goals against Barca but would like him to dominate a top six club before he gets my approval. We have a few flat track bullies , we need players who will rip the likes of the dippers, spuds and arse to pieces a bit more often

He was very good although it's hard to gauge how good because of the poor opposition, Certainly played the Dinho role well, collecting the ball on the half turn and springboarding many a counter attack.

not easy to find those players, im sure every club would like those type of players.

Only been here a short period. Oozes class for me though he's a bit soft at times. I think he will continue to improve. Had a very bad injury as well.

He ran the show yesterday, though his clever(ly looking) final through balls failed him a bit. Now reproduce this type of performance against Leicester and we're ok.

Not saying you're wrong, but for me he looks better deeper.
I'd like to see him in the Fernandinho role with Silva & De Bruyne alongside/just in front of him.
He was the pivot most of the time at BVB and he's an excellent all round midfielder. He's like Fernandiho, he's everywhere. He makes great late runs.

Personally I'd like to see back to the early season system with him and Silva & De Bruyne in the middle and the inverted fullbacks stopping what we saw Sunday.

Can't argue though, he's great further forwards too.

Yeah i agree with this. Silva can sit deep and play the Modric role, let Ilkay free

Our form has plummeted since fitting him in.

Only the Barca game is the exception.

Too inconsistent too.

I'd return him to the bench and see if our form improves.
