What does he offer this team? He doesn't tackle, he looks slow, his passing is always backwards.He's so passive. A shadow of the player he used to be.

Doesn't have the mentality to play a noticeable role. Needs moving on. Not because of tonight. But because of how non existent he is in the games where he is the senior midfield player - league cup games for example.

He didn't chase the ball at all. I know it must have contributed to the poor pressing from the whole team. Why would anyone press the ball like madmen when not everyone is onboard?

So many times Jesus would start the press, only to get no support from Gundogan.

He's a nice guy, but I am really starting to dislike the type of player he is. Even Nasri had more energy.

His best role is probably more of Lampard-ish rather than a playmaker or box to box imo.

He's not done enough to justify a valuable foreign slot, Bernardo must be thinking "well if Ronaldo really wants me at Real..."

He’s soft, a coward after his injuries. Did he even get a touch last night ??

Frequently disappears then out of nowhere scores a goal or two and everyone loves him again. Sorry but he is not good enough. Had my doubts since he signed. Even last season while fit he would dissappear in many games. I remember asking myself is Gundogan even playing. Then he scores twice against Barca and everyone creams themselves.

What’s the point of having a squad player that will never challenge David or Kevin. It’s just a waste of space. We’ve been lucky our two 8s have been relatively heathly all season.

Sell Gundogan while he still has value before he gets injured again and retires. Bring in someone who will push Silva and De Bruyne and actually challenge them.

Being saying it forever, he offers absolutely nothing to this team, and should be on the sell list with Yaya and 2 upgrades coming in.

It’s never a good idea to sign a player whilst still on crutches.....

He hides, doesn’t have the strength, stamina or will to close down and do the dirty stuff

He’s fine at home when cruising but put him in a team that’s up against it and you get performances like last night

I accept that he was player in a position that he wasn’t used to but that still doesn’t excuse the lack of effort and willingness to win and show for the ball
