As many have said for a long time now give him a run of games and then we will see the real Gunndy and now we are he's a top player.

He has to play each game as if it's his last imo.

That's the key to him being a key player at City. He's not a Jorginho (thank god) he's an 'action' player.

He's an honest player.

They all are.

And they all cruise from time to time in games, the whole team did for 20 mins on Sunday, also 90.v Newcastle & 80 v Huddersfield.

He is only a top player, when he plays flat out imo, some are still brilliant playing at 70%, he isn't. His touches & all that computer bollocks might show up the same, but the effectiveness of it & his value to his team mates, is competely different.

The player we saw on Sunday, was playing flat out most of the time & imo playing like that is what will make him a City player rather than losing his spot to a new signing.

Maybe, but he's arguably our best attacking midfield player in the centre imo.
It's all about having the variety these days I think. I'm happy we can use him in two roles to high standards. Plus at least when he's on the right we can use Sterling on the left more if we need to, at least until Mahrez finally gets up to speed.
