Your sarcasm is heading towards stratospheric heights. I can't take too much more of it :)It's as if match sharpness and rhythm matters.

At this point, he is simply our best player. And anywhere he is slotted, whoever plays that position will have issues.Maybe, but he's arguably our best attacking midfield player in the centre imo.

Thats my moto on the pre game threads of late: " fuk the lineup... Just win baby."I think he, &.we are better, when he plays in the centre though. So is it normal, to move your best player out of his best position?
I'm not saying don't do it, I'm just not 100% convinced.
Maybe when KDB gets his shit together full100% then there is a question re who is the best in the centre.
But also, KDB can play wide & is a far better crosser.
But it's just chatter at the moment, as all we care about is results whatever.
Still touch and go. I can still see the naysayers way over there peaking from behind the fences. Just bidding their good ol'time.OK, so is he definitely not shit now? I get confused by these player threads alongside Matchday threads.....it's hard to keep up with who's wank and who's world class.
He's gonna sign. I see a 2 year extension. And then he returns to Germany. The 28 year old has a contract expiring in June 2020, and SportBild have asked him about a renewal. The German magazine put the end date to the midfielder, straight out asked if he’s staying at Manchester City.
Gundogan was evasive but made clear he could follow his Dortmund model: “It has now become the rule that there is a decision for a player who has another year contract period: separation or extension. I’m a bit old-fashioned. For me it is also possible that I go to the last contract year and then extend.”
That wasn’t good enough for SportBild, who pressed further and got more from the footballer: “It may well be that the next one will be my last big contract. Such a decision must be well considered. We already had one or two talks. I do not feel pressure is on the subject. Sportingly, I am very satisfied with City, as there are less attractive tasks in Europe. In this regard, nothing stands against an extension. But nothing is decided yet.”
Reading between the lines, it’s clear the financials have to be good for Gundogan and he’s willing to wait.

Yup, thst makes sense.Would be a good deal for all parties - we get to keep him for a couple more seasons of his prime, and he gets a chance to still earn a decent move/contract after it. He'd be 31 at the end of 21/22.
