I don’t believe anyone wants smoke blown up his arse, criticism is fine too, castigation is where the issue lies.
He's struggled to make an impact in a handful of games he's played this season but that doesn't warrant the vitriol you've come out with.

Now his performances have picked up and he is looking worthy of being in the 11,i'll give him the praise he deserves.

Some of his performances over the last couple of seasons have been complete dog shite.
Many have been below average.
Thw good or excellent ones have often been followed by 2 or 3 dogshit or average ones, even as recently as about a month or 2 ago. Recently he has strung together some good or very good performances without lapsing into dogshitness inbetween.
If he keeps that up, he is worth his place at City & I am full of praise for him.
If he slips back into half arsed shite, he'll be getting both barrels from me & it will be an even stronger indication he needs moving on; there is no reason at all now, & no excuse, for a big drop in consistency.
Gundamentalists can fuck off, trying to stop people evaluating him honestly.

No they reflect the annoyance some people have, for example watching half City's team, running past a player in one direction then running past him in the other.
That pisses me right off, as does half arsed challenges shit first touch, passing backwards when there is 20 yeards of space to pass forward into etc etc etc etc.
Soon you will be complaining again that people are having a go at Gundogan, as you try to criticise them for having a strong opinion on his previous dogshite performances, but it will be the Gundamentalist attitude whicb causes it, at a time when he's doing well.
