Very unfortunate that he’ll be leaving this summer.

I was convinced we’d persuade him to stay.

Silver lining is that at least Foden will get more of a chance next season.

Not because he is leaving though. As Gundogan wasn't getting that mucg time at the 8 anyway. I think Foden will get more time coz Dave might take a back seat.

That`s cheap in this market. Should have no problem with getting that. Brandt (German NT player) who was previously a winger has been converted to a CM and has been doing very well this season apparently (7 goals 14 assists all comps). Has a €25m release clause. Not sure if we would need more than one midfielder if Gundo left though. I personally believe only a DM would be enough:

DM: New one + Fernandinho
CM: Kev, Merlin, Bernardo, Foden

Not surprised at his assist numbers. Called it a few years ago, he is a young Debryune. Less intense, but great vision

Think he'll be heading to Bayern personally. No ITK. Just a feeling.

We bought him in his prime. That wasn’t yesterday, either. He can still play, but he couldn’t play in the current Liverpool team. Chelsea, maybe, but not Liverpool.

I will go against the flow here and say I will be glad to see the back of him. Very wasteful on Sunday and it was his foul that lead to the free kick and their goal. His shooting is terrible and he slows the game down too much. He prefers to pass back or sideways as it’s less risky. Watch the amount of times he looks away when some one tries to pass to him. Reminds me too much of Wilkins. Get rid in the summer.

That was your take away from Gundogan's game, mine was the last ditch clearance in the box that prevented an almost certain equaliser, you know the one, it was the type that if Fernandinho or Laporte do it they get showered with praise.

He's not looking away, he's assessing what's around him, how much space he has. He routinely has more touches/passes than anyone else in the team, this notion that he hides is complete and utter nonsense.

I don't think anyone has made as many good forward passes as Gundogan in the last month or so. He completely undid the Palace defence 3 or 4 times, 2 of which should definitely have been goals, so calling him wasteful goes past the boundary of fair or balanced criticism and just descends into one eyed bias.

I'd never sell him to Dippers. He has one more year of contract, let him run it down. He'll be year older and he's not 18. But Foden will be year older in good sense. And ready to start.

I'm pretty sure he'll go to one of the Milan clubs.

I'd still expect him to go for considerably more than €25m though. Well into the 30's.
