Very unfortunate that he’ll be leaving this summer.

I was convinced we’d persuade him to stay.

Silver lining is that at least Foden will get more of a chance next season.

I guess City will be forced to buy a young expensive CM (Aouar or the likes), so Foden's way into the starting 11 will get even harder if Gundo leaves.

...Disappointed he didn’t have a decent swing at either chance today and was more intent on trying to curl them into the corners. Sometimes, you just have to have a crack and hope that if it doesn’t go straight in, it’ll get a nick and go in from a deflection....

I don’t think necessarily.

I think Pep prefers Gundogan in the Silva/De Bruyne role and only plays him as our holding CM when he has to, like yday.

We need a new holding mid regardless of Gundogan going and that leaves Silva/B Silva/KDB/Foden for the advanced positions if Gundogan does leave.

Apparently we have put a €25m fee in him with 12 months left on his contract I can see why plus to get more buyers involved.

That`s cheap in this market. Should have no problem with getting that. Brandt (German NT player) who was previously a winger has been converted to a CM and has been doing very well this season apparently (7 goals 14 assists all comps). Has a €25m release clause. Not sure if we would need more than one midfielder if Gundo left though. I personally believe only a DM would be enough:

CM: Kev, Merlin, Bernardo, Foden

I'd be pretty gutted to lose a player of Gundogan's quality in his prime to Liverpool, hope he changes his mind.

I'd never sell him to Dippers. He has one more year of contract, let him run it down. He'll be year older and he's not 18. But Foden will be year older in good sense. And ready to start.

I'd rather keep him for another year and let him go on a free than take 30 mill or whatever and I think the club would too, but the worry that he would go to Liverpool is too much so we will probably sell him. Shame and we will have to get it right with Silva and Fernandinho ready to bow out
