Txiki and Pep know there is no better value out there on the market at this time. Knows the system inside and out, experienced, *hopefully* over his fitness concerns. No brainer for me, be disappointed to see him go.

Pretty much this.
There's no sign that his injuries have had a long term effect as he still seems mobile when needed. A replacement of that quality would cost circa 40/50 million and he has the trust of Pep. Added to the fact he can cover at DM and CM its a no brainer to get him signed up. If he wants a bit more money then to be fair he's probably earned it over the last 6 months.
