Ilkay Gundogan - 2019/20 Performances

This guy hid behind Arsenal player quite often.

Yet this guy is defended here?

If he doesnt help break down a defence like Arsenals tonignt the I dont know what the point of him is.

This season I don't think he's ever gotten near the level he was for the run in last season.

He is too often Purposeless in games. He truly leaves me perplexed at times. Again, often.

Gundogan is a blind spot for Pep, doesn't seem to be aware of how limp he is as a defensive player. That might not matter in certain games against weak opposition but felt it today.

Completely invisible tonight and against better teams goes missing. He can not cope against pressing teams and we need a younger, more mobile midfield player.

I fail to see why so many people defend Gundogan, ultimate luxury player, looks great when you are 2-0 up but when you need a performance he stalls and gets stuck in neutral. The only positive is see in his game is he is often available but doesn’t influence the attack or defence at all

other opinions welcome but I just don’t see it
