There are players I prefer to Gundo but I will say this.

He doesn’t catch the eye like some. His contribution is more subtle. But study him for a while in a game and you appreciate him a lot more.

Second, I normally hate it when people say Pep knows best. He isn’t infallible. Nevertheless, what he doesn’t know about midfielders probably isn’t worth knowing. There has to be a reason why he picks Gundo, other than sex or extortion.

We are very open when he plays,i know he is not dinho or rodders but he can't be excused for never sticking a foot in and breaking up a counter, pep loves him for his other skills, fair enough but at the moment we need a more gritty performance from him,if dave can get stuck in then so can he,every manager has a fav player and he is pep's but he shows a real blind spot to keep playing him, dave and rodders, when fit ,together,on sunday we need someone to break up their counter,he won't do it so i hope dinho is back in the middle
Yeah but why is he getting picked if he's not trying though? Other skills or not he wouldn't get picked surely?

I said this

As for gundy,i hope dinho is back in his proper position on sunday as gundy will not stop counter attacks,he doesn't even try really

On this specific part of the game he doesn't try,he doesn't tackle, barge people off the ball, stops a break away,it's nothing new,you could say he is not that type of player but he has to do whats needed whilst the other 2 aren't there, dave, bernie and kev do it so he can't be excused

I’m more concerned about Otamendi starting on Sunday and up against that cheating diving twat Mane. He doesn’t need much to fall over and otta has previous for lunging in.

So why does Pep, the manager that never excuses players for not trying in any aspect, ESPECIALLY defending ones, excuse Gundogan?

Why was bobby blind about mario,mp about a fat lazy yaya, every manager has a blind spot or will let certain players get away with things others don't,are you saying that gundy does get stuck in and stop counter attacks like the others do? are you saying players don't just skip by him?

I saw Harry Maquire stroll past Gundogan last season when we played Leicester at home. It was awful to see.

Yep that is the sort of thing i mean,no effort to take him down, got to him then stopped,i don't want him as a dm against a team that will come at us,i've said many times, game in front of him and under control he is great, when teams run at him he might as well not be there
