Why was bobby blind about mario,mp about a fat lazy yaya, every manager has a blind spot or will let certain players get away with things others don't,are you saying that gundy does get stuck in and stop counter attacks like the others do? are you saying players don't just skip by him?
Players do get past him, but I've always put it down to the fact he's not a great tackler rather than a lazy one. I've seen him make plenty of aggressive tackles and interceptions too over the last 12 months, but I guess that doesn't count.

To be clear, are you genuinely suggesting Pep is knowingly ignoring the lack of effort (again, the ONE thing he cannot tolerate) to play favourites? Or is it a guy as hyper-anal about the most minor of details like Pep would somehow miss it?

What happened after he got by gundy is not the point is it

Yes it is, because he was already out wide and going nowhere when he went past Gundogan and he was running into a box of City defenders.

Letting him go there was the correct decision. We got the ball back and Gundogan didnt get a yellow card.

Sometimes Gundo doesnt make tackles and it pisses me off, that was not one of them, if Harry Maguire wants to pretend he's messi and run up a blind alley then let him every time.

It was stupid when people complained about it in may and it's still stupid now.

Well i've never seen him make an aggressive tackle,he was peps first signing,he had a bad injury,i think peps knows he won't do the down and dirty work but values his other qualities and thats why he plays him
So you agree players get past him? why do they get past him? is it because he won't take them down? i hope on sunday we are not having this conversation because he didn't stop a dipper counter attack
