Hughes was 4th in the league and in the Semi's and got the sack. Mancini has brought nothing to the club except a couple of his out of work mates.

No of course not....he's only brought Yaya, Silva, Kolarov, Boateng, etc,.

Compared to Hughes who brought in the overpriced, under-performing RSC, Lescott, Ade and Bridge.

Hughes would never have got the type of players Mancini has got. Obviously the owners have bigger aspirations than a Carling Cup semi.

then tell us so we can save our time and money, has he no shame when people jump on us after this needless defeat.

agree about rsc, a disgrace.

After hearing that we only have 3 fit defenders at the minute. I can understand him not risking any first team defenders but surley the likes on SRP could of had a run out as he has hardly played. amonst others who wont feature. but for me, it still feels painful being a city fan. I know its only one game at it was against a prem team but, the shit end of the stick still seems to hit us like it always has. just hope we get a liverpool type performance on Sat.

our youngsters compaired to Arsenals are million miles apart

News is that SWP is injured

I went last night - dissappointing to say the least.

You can save the Mancini in Mancini out Sheikh it all about for the moment - but that display was inept. Whether it was Mancinis fault or not (yes the buck ultimately stops with him) - but quite frankly what was was most concerning was the ineptitude of the players he put in - the youngester were quite simply abysmal - lack of positional awareness, lack of control - and more worrying - lack of pace. No wonder we have to spend like a billionaire with a terminal illness every window.
We are not good enough to rest players and coast through supposed minor teams - the money means nothing in that regard - yet we seem to think we are now one of the big players on the scene - despite having achieved nothing - reeks of arrogance. We'd have had our work cut out away to WBA with a full first team!
Lose on Saturday and that arrogance blows up in his face - if we win then ok - but we may have won anyway without resting so many - and one thing the new players need at the moment is time on the pitch together. For confidence and momentum a win last night would have been ideal.

Another opportunity to get that bloody banner down wasted.

Too Many, too young, too quick, too soon. Shit error of judgement and disrespecful to the many that attended. May he learn his lesson.

I know a defeat always leaves a sour taste and particular the way it happened last night but, I've got to say that banner no longer bothers me as I know it is only a matter of time (and I mean either this season or next) when it is consigned to the dustbin of history.

He's a fucking idiot for last night.

Playing the reserves in a cup is one thing. Stupid enough on its own. But playing them against another team's reserves, thus negating the 'give them experience' point many have made is madness. They play every other fucker's reserves every week.

We've won fuck all for 34 years and he doesn't appear to give a toss about the cups.

For the record before the Stoke game we sat 6th in the table 6 points behind the 4th spot and 9 and 12 GD worse off(not 4th).
