I'm thinking it is corrupt

I seem to remember Newcastle getting a pen (and a point) at OT when it was a good tackle. Was everyone outraged then? No.

We're looking for excuses, to hide the fact we havent put it to bed in Jan/Feb when we had the chance.

jesus christ, this statement is fucking embarrassing. how many years have you followed football? how many of these decisions do they get every fucking year? its a disgrace. don't go out of your way to find the odd occasion where they were hard done by for fuck sake, it won't even come close to the number of bent decisions they have amassed over the years.

The point i'm trying to make is that if we were 6/7 pts clear like we should be, would you be so would up about it? No, it would just be "oh well, rag %^&^ got away with another one". The fact it directly affects us at the minute is the reason everyone is pissed off with it.

The biggest teams get the decisions. Liverpool always used to get them at Anfield in the 80's. Seemed to get a penalty every week at the kop, or a dodgy last minute goal. Sound familiar? Doesnt make it right, its just fact it always has and will happen.

nope, i was saying this when we were well clear.

As difficult as that is to swallow I'll repeat again - had we not dropped stupid fucking points at Swansea, Stoke, and West Brom in the last month we'd be top of the league - even with the bent refereeing.

If we want to be champions we need to man up and not expect any favours. Arsenal and Chelsea have both managed to win the league under similar circumstances. Our biggest job is to get the first title, then the decisions will begin to come our way too.

The dropped points argument is true, obviously. But can you really expect this team to win every game. They could be on for a record points tally if they win all their games but yet they are still being tied/exceeded by a Manchester United team that is a) nowhere near an exceptional team (or even a 'good' Manchester United team) or b) playing particularly well in most of their games.

Can you really say that City haven't done enough? They aren't particularly playing well at this stage of the season but in most seasons they would have a nice cushion at the moment. So the question is, how has this United team managed to amass such a points tally - one that has been beyond dozens of teams that have been far more talented?

I agree. But you know what, it's fucking ours. They aren't winning convincingly at home even, they'll definitely drop points. The fans are all worried too. Over the past week or so loads have been getting wound up easily by me, and getting really upset. Come on City, '#together#' or whatever it is

agreed but its not the point, play it fucking fair, win or lose.

Anyone who wants title in Premier League has to be some 10 points better than those bastards and that's hard to do.

Those 10 points are awarded to them in numerous situations like this throughout the season.
This made me smile :-).

Rubbish, taking into account a few poor away performances we'd be (imo) 6 or 7 points clear had it not been for:
A, The rags being the jammiest cunts in history
or
B, Bent refs.

I know which I think it is.

Get a grip lads FFS!

United had 10 shots on target to Fulham's 2. Fulham were lucky to still be in the game and even though it should've been a pen at the end, anyone who can't honestly see why Oliver thinks Carrick got the ball is blind or desperate. It was lucky for United, unlucky for us and Fulham but nothing more. We need to stop relying on refs (especially those reffing the Rags) and win our own games!

Against Sunderland we had 104 attempts on target and lost to a clear offside goal

Welcome to the game of football. Should've taken one of our 104 chances instead of crying conspiracy.

United's fast direct attacking style of play has meant that historically even with seemingly poor sides they have always created a shit ton of chances against teams, and have always had talismanic forward players who always seem to pop up with a goal when it matters. I completely accept that Slur Alex's bullying of referees over the years has lead to the weak ones bottling decisions like the ones tonight.

People keep going on about our record points haul as if it matters. It'll only matter if we win the league. Just ask Rafa ...
