the bottom line is they simply dare not play it fair, we are so far ahead of everybody that the league would be over by xmas, then the viewing public would just not tune in, the premier league as a brand would suffer, too much money is on the table for this too happen. now times that world wide. nope, never in a month on sundays can that be allowed to happen.
look at the SPL, shite crowds, shite money deals, shite wages and thats in a two horse race let alone one.
Scary, scary stuff.

The only unjust loss we've had in the Premier League all season was the 1-0 defeat to Sunderland, and even then we deserved a kicking after missing two sitters minutes before their goal. At Chelsea we were poor in the second half regardless of whether Silva was fouled or not; at Everton we were gutless and deserved to lose and at Swansea the same. Maybe, de niro, one day you'll see us lose a game because of ourselves and not just blame the referees.

If you want to use isolated incidents and argue that they influenced the rest of the game then the best example to use is Mario Balotelli's blatant stamp on Scott Parker. Howard Webb (that "Rag" you were all on about) sees the incident and gives nothing, thus allowed Balotelli to play on, win a LAST MINUTE penalty and convert to send us top of the Premier League and stretch away from Manchester United. Why would a "Rag" want that to happen?

Re: I admit defeat .. we are being robbed !!

I think Blacburn will turn them over on Monday night, I know we say these teams are scrapping down there but Wolves, Wigan et al will be pushing them now after last nights performance, let's just concentrate on our games, win them all win the league, simples.

"blatant stamp"?

You sound like a rag.

It wasn't proved to be intentional, do you not remember the push in the back Balo got when he was in the air?

Webb didn't see it properly and hence didn't give the decision.

Re: I admit defeat .. we are being robbed !!

The most annoying thing about last night was that we had Steve Bruce as a pundit on Abu Dhabi Sports. He must have watched the penalty at least 10 times from every possible angle, each showing a clear penalty.

"I've got to say I think the referee called that right."
"What? Even from this angle Steve?"
"Yeah, no way it's a penalty."
"And what about this angle?"
"Nah, the ref got it spot on."
"And this one?"
"It's not a penalty, simple as that."

They then cut to Taggart's interview where he basically says, "Yeah, we got lucky there. Looked like a penalty to me."

Made Bruce look like an even bigger twat than he already is. Hopefully that's the last we see of him on that particular channel, the fucking elephant-headed freak.

he couldn't really not give the penalty it was so obvious bob, as for the stamp if moderic hadn't pushed ballo in the back it the incident might not have happened, mr Webb is far to cosy with certain individuals as we realised when he said that he did not see it, the pressure was on him to say that he did not see it. Redknapps outburst in the corridors of etihad made sure ballo was charged. At city we are to nice a club and have to change our mentality, 3 managers this season have given it large about our players on sky before the players even got in the dressing rooms.

Not many have mentioned the Adam Johnson dive v Fulham that won a penalty either...

That was the correct decision. I don't particularly like people "finding" penalties, but the defender stuck his leg out, and tripped Johnson up.

You fail to mention the orchestrated sending off of Balo against Liverpool, and Reina staying on the pitch after a blatent handball outside the box. Sending off's throughout January, including Vinnie in the FA cup which affected us in the league.
I don't necessarily agree in a conspiracy, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility that officials are subliminally affected by the occasion.
