I've read through most of the thread and was not surprised to see NEW MILLS mentioned so many times.

Has anyone mentioned STROUD or HEREFORD yet??? Christ they've still got gangs of mods, skins, punks and rockers in these places.

my hometown has took a bit of stick (quite deservably) but the people who let it down are thos on the council estates at the bottom of town.

i'm very much working class and i'm no snob but it's a fact, there's so many idle piss cans who live on them it's untrue.

not all of them which is what i must say but my area of town is a much better place to live because of the people.

btw i live in a terraced house.

Terraces are back in fashion and some are worth a fortune. Trust me.

I had the dubious honour of visiting Hereford today. I have never seen such an odd selection of humanity before.

At one point I pulled up at the traffic lights and in the back of car next to me was a girl who looked like the banjo playing guy in Deliverance and she was wearing a cygnet ring which merely said "daughter". I'm not entirely sure if this was to indicate her status within the family or whether it was a post-coital gift from her dad.

Does anyone else have any advance on Hereford as the incest capital of the UK?

Hereford is also the home of the S.A.S. so is there a chance that what you see is not what you get mmmmm, keep a look out for men coming down ropes wearing balaclava's in your bedroom lol.

If you think Blackpool is bad, then try a small town lodged between Blackpool and Preston....called Warton.
I had the mis-fortune to live up their for 9 months in a local B&B and forget about incest....they appeared to having more fun with their domestic pets on a nighly basis.

Come to think of it... Blackpool is pretty diabolical. More inbred than a dog in North Korea.
