Independent Article - City's Identity - Feels spot on :(

Cunty article for sure, but there is no doubt the club feels more distant from the fans, and there is less passion now than for a long time (even when we were shit there was generally anger, apathy was never our thing).

If that was working I'd say fair enough, but it's clearly not so far. It's been the perfect storm though, with Mogadon Manuel, Soriano being the invisible man by and large and no real larger than life personalities in the team at the moment.

It seems the owners wanted the quiet life, and I understand that and am sure they didn't want the reduction in noise to bring along a reduction in success and enjoyment, but it has. Undeniably.

Give me Cook, Mancini and Tevez any day over this relentless and stifling niceness.

I greatly look forward to Pep bringing some of that passion and drive back to our club and expect this kind of atmosphere to be a distant memory in no time.

Haha... Imagine going down to your local Aldi, and when you've bagged your shopping you stay behind and wait for the staff who've put everything on the shelves to finish their shifts... Then applaud them out of the store :/

Yes, I heard that too. He didn't mention Zaba last night - as a player who cares - then contradicted himself by saying it really didn't matter whether players stood in the crowd on match days like United's do. Having raised the subject in the first place, of course.

A fool. If you gave him all the answers to SATs, he'd still fail the exam.

I actually emailed Offtheball today to complain about them always interviewing Ogden regarding City and the presenter's own increasingly negative view of City, players all mercenaries etc. I had a bit of a rant also about media bias in general. A waste of my time I know but it just winds me up so much.

In some ways I hope we don't spend much in the summer and Pep wins the league by a distance with pretty much the current squad plus Denayer and maybe some of the younger guys like Jack Byrne playing a part.

I don't get the criticism it's receiving from our fans. We've spoke at length on this forum how the powers of be has become disconnected with the fanbase from the pricing perspective to Sorriano's relationship with the fans. If one word was to summarise this season it would be apathy. They have focused so much of developing the Manchester City brand that they've forgotten the Manchester City club somewhat.

Interesting that a City square presenter has tweeted the same article !

There was a question mark...

She might be in trouble after tweeting that this is a "good article"?

well on her twitter handle description it clearly states "City Square presenter, Fundraising, Cineworld unlimited card holder! *views are all my own* "

i partially agree with the article , even though its from ogden
