Independent Article - City's Identity - Feels spot on :(

I dont believe his suggestion that the fans didn't stay behind on Sunday because only a handful of players acknowledge the fans at the end of away matches.

I do believe that the lack of acknowledgement of the fans by many of the players at the end of away matches is a legitimate point.

The rest of it I don't know one way or the other.

The points he makes may be partially true but no fucking way has an anonymous employee told him any of it it's bollocks.

More riveting revelations from Ogden on the May 9th 'Off The Ball' podcast, including how we are apparently still dependent on Abu Dhabi related sponsorship deals, rag players caring about their club more than City players for ours.

Yes, I heard that too. He didn't mention Zaba last night - as a player who cares - then contradicted himself by saying it really didn't matter whether players stood in the crowd on match days like United's do. Having raised the subject in the first place, of course.

A fool. If you gave him all the answers to SATs, he'd still fail the exam.

This is the sort of hatchet job we have seen for the last nine years. It started under Hughes in fact. The press has written articles like this repeatedly about City. There may be a germ of truth in it (I do think for example that Garry Cook was closer to the fans) but it has been spun in such a negative way. The disaffected employee who sounded off to Ogden is the sort of Judas who infects a lot of workplaces. City have always had a few negative people behind the scenes who do their best to run the club down. People like Ogden have no concept of what the real people at Manchester City think because his sources are not the people in the know. Like most sports journalists he relies on tittle tattle and what he can glean from a few embittered former players and backroom staff members (we know who they are) As a club City have always been outsiders to the media and the sporting establishment. My first season was 1968 and even when we won the league the BBC went to Old Trafford for the first interview with Matt Busby before Joe Mercer. We have always been the black sheep and that's one of the reasons I am proud to be a City fan. One of the positive things this week has been the final demise of Platini. He's not the first scumbag to bite the dust and he won't be the last. We will have the last laugh.

But they still have this clown on the Bluemoon pod, maybe they could invite a guest rag for his next appearance to spoon feed him questions as they did last night.

To be fair you would always expect players who come through a clubs youth academy to have a special affection for a club. Therefore it's no wonder that the likes of Martial, Depay and De Gea are life long United fans.

utter shite a trophy won. semi final CL! crap prem season but hey onwards and upwards, any footie fan out there would love to win the silverware we have so fuck the media, we blues laugh at these clowns
