I also think we have a player who is very similar in Ireland, not quite Iniesta but he plays the same way and if he keeps improving he will hopefully get to that level for us.
Coaching methods, techniques, styles and ideology would have to undergo a radical and fundamental change from the grass roots level up here in England/United Kingdom before we could produce players of that type. Ireland is a great player and I worship the man, but Iniesta is a different creature all together, as to is Xavi.
Ironically, the Premiere League's greatest asset (the entertainment value derived from its unrivalled speed and power) doubles as its greatest weakness as the very basic fundamentals of the game (passing and movement) are neglected. That Barcelona side would have beaten any premier league side in history, even the Arsenal side that went undefeated.
