John's on the plane - with his injury issues, his job for England is to play qualifiers (preferably avoiding the minnows) and tournament games. Friendlies are for fringe players - other than immediately before a tournament. John has to be wrapped in cotton wool for us all to see the best of him - like a few other exceptional players. I'm still boiling that he started the two friendlies.

City have to manage his game time, and for the bucktoothed **** to start him twice in quick succession is a disgrace. It shows that the waistcoat wanker cares more about getting a result in a friendly, than looking after the wellbeing of his players long term.

Where do people get this idea that City have to carefully manage Stones’ game time come from?

He just started 6 games in a row for us. The Copenhagen game (which he played in) was the first City game he’d not started since he returned from injury.

When Stones is fit, he plays every game for us, and that seems to be the way he and the club are happy with.

Conveniently forgetting about him sitting on the bench the whole game against Chelsea and Brentford in the last few weeks. His minutes obviously are managed by the club, only a knobhead would argue otherwise.

Assuming Ederson, Walker and Stones aren't fit:-

Ortega
Akanje
Dias
Gvardiol
Ake (He's a better full back than Gvardiol)
Rodri
Bernardo
KDB (Should be good for at least 60-75 minutes)
Foden
Haaland
Grealish (As with KDB)

Are we having a sweep on what minute the Arsenal goalie sits down, to trigger the team talk?
I'll go 19th minute.
 
Exactly what did Wastecoat learn from playing Pickford,
Walker,Stones,Phil,Rice,Bellingham etc , for mainly 130 minutes in two friendlies within four days of each other ?

If he doesn't know their abilities now he never will.

Surely giving the 'second ' choice players, with 2/3 first choice stiffeners, a good run for experience and confidence would be logical and more valuable.

How good is the no2 keeper, can Maddison play 90 minutes, Gordon 2 games in 4 days, Rico etc etc ?

A largely wasted opportunity mainly at the cost of City !!

Waste coat shit himself at the prospect of losing two friendlies and chickened out whilst jumping kobie cleverly up to endear him sen to scruffy Jim the fracking petrochemical tax dodger.

City should now be absolutely pragmatic regarding players release conditions for any international games.....us 1st,2nd & last !!

Maybe Ben White was right ?
