Stones is the big one here. Massive difference in our performances now without him.

That's totally what I was assuming but if he didn't train the signs aren't good.Cant shake the feeling there is a chance hes ready Dave? Pep saying his injury was better than first feared and having a two week break where im sure our fitness team etc have been working on him?

The annoying thing is that todays press conference will be dominated by idiotic questions about Everton's punishment and would it could mean for City, and probably not a single question about the injury situation, which is what most fans want to know about.
Agree I feel Lewis can do a job similar to stones think this be my team!
Ake and silva help out Docu defensively Lewis and foden same that side Rodri the playmaker Haaland the Bulldozer..
___________Ed
Walker__Akanji__Dias__ake
___Lewis__Rodri___Silva
Foden___Haaland___Docu
I'd be stunned if Doku started this one. You could see in the Chelsea game the problem with him: he sets us up to be broken at (by losing possession) and does not track back. I'm sure Pep will know this now as he rectified it at Chelsea and we improved immediately. And Bernardo simply must start and not Lewis.Agree I feel Lewis can do a job similar to stones think this be my team!

He's genuinely our X factor. We have many world class players and we have the best striker in the world, but the team does not function the way the manager wants it too without StonesStones is the big one here. Massive difference in our performances now without him.
Dead right. His new role provides us with such fluidity and steel in the middle. United away v Chelsea away. He's genuinely our X factor. We have many world class players and we have the best striker in the world, but the team does not function the way the manager wants it too without Stones

Pep wouldn’t answer anyway. The annoying thing is that todays press conference will be dominated by idiotic questions about Everton's punishment and would it could mean for City, and probably not a single question about the injury situation, which is what most fans want to know about.
Who is the guy far right?
Yep, agree with every point. If I were to be brutal I'm not sure Alverez is our best option as (basially) an attacking midfielder, and I think he works better with Stones dropping into to support. But without De Bruyne I think that's the best we've got. Definitely no Doku unless chasing the game.Ake being back would be a big plus as Gvardiol has looked a bit sloppy at times in the big games. I still think we're a lot better with Ake at LB and Gvardiol should be playing at LCB, but I'm sure Pep will be working towards that at some point.
As others have said, Stones is a huge loss if unavailable. If he starts we win, if not there's still a good chance we do but it's a tighter occasion.
Bit questions ahead of this one - but with a few injuries I'd expect him to play the same midfield/attacking 6 of Rodri, Bernardo, Alvarez, Foden, Grealish, Haaland that destroyed the rags. Use Doku when the game is won!
Yeah, you were right.Pep wouldn’t answer anyway.
“I don’t know. We have training later, so we will see who is there.”
You're making the mistake, that these press conferences are about football, they're just for cretin journalists to ask cretin questions, not related to actual football. The annoying thing is that todays press conference will be dominated by idiotic questions about Everton's punishment and would it could mean for City, and probably not a single question about the injury situation, which is what most fans want to know about.
Ake at LB with Josko and Dias at CB would be my preference. Drop Akanji
