Injuries 2024/25 | Ake & Bobb return to training

The expectation is that Erling will be fit in time to play a further part in the remainder of this season, including this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup.

It was obvious that it was a significant injury. It could have been worse than that.
 
Disaster. Bobb needs to come back soon and Echeverri should be intergrated. Thank fuck we signed Marmoush

Don't recall Bernardo or Gundogan being injured, but can pretty much vouch for every single player in the squad outside of that, especially all of the traditional first team players.

All well and good thinking we've been unlucky or played a lot of football, but the whole training and recovery setup needs looking at.
 
Apparently he doesn't do anything but score, so we should be better without him right?!

Good job we bought Marmoush as we'd be absolutely fucked otherwise, but it's probably because we didn't buy him last summer that Haaland's been flogged and is now suffering.
 
he was overplayed big time all season, this was bound to happen. selling Alvarez without any striker addition was mental from Txiki.

Haaland missing crucial part of the season now, Marmoush need to deliver and turn chances into goals. we also need KDB, Foden, Gundo, and all the wingers to chip in with a few goals in last 9 PL games despite they all have been struggling to do it all season. cannot just be Marmoush or nobody...

sick season in terms of injury issues, fucking hell whats up with Bobb? was supposed to be back early January and still not played a minute in the first team.

Agreed. No back up striker (can Marmoush deliver up top?), no RB (after Walker left), no legitimate LB at all, no back up for Rodri (pre Gonzales), no winger that scores…

What a shit show….

Why “can’t” he play every minute? This is what I don’t get with modern footballers, roll back 8-10 years and we had players up top such as Aguero, Rooney, Crouch, RVO, Drogba when fit, playing every minute possible.

Marmoush is more than capable of starting every single game from now until the end of the season, and when he’s done his job and bagged a goal or 2 and the game is done, to bring him off.
 
The club statement wording is not great. If they mean they expect Haaland back this season, and this season excludes the CWC, then that's not that bad an outcome.
