For what it's worth I think he's fucking knackered anyway and I'm not sure how much of a positive contribution he would have been able to give in the closing weeks of the season. He's largely uninvolved in games at the moment and his finishing looks tired. Thankfully we've brought Marmoush in who won't score as many goals but will involve himself in matches in different ways to Erling and is likely to press more frequently and run for longer than Erling can. He's not as lethal in front of goal but hopefully he won't have to be.

The goal output from pretty much most outside of Haaland this season has been utterly atrocious.

Doku, Savio, De Bruyne, Bernardo and Grealish have a combined 8 league goals between them this season.

Ha. He will 100% be taken. Some City fans don’t care about it but you can bet your bottom dollar our owners wants to win it.

When the actual World Cup started England believed they were above it and missed out for 10-20 years. I hope we fans don’t make the same mistake. It WILL be a bigger competition than the CL in time and the money will make a huge difference to our bottom line.

There's always summat happening at this club, one or two of them would injure themselves blowing their noses .... that physio room is like a sanctuary for the everlasting line of walking wounded, and that John Stones must be there every time the city physio clocks in for work!!

It would make sense to rest him and get him fit for next season, use the CWC to get him match fit. Others need to step up, Marmoush is there, Bobb might get more time, Savinho, Foden and Doku need to retune their radars and maybe KdB might find his range again. All is not lost, but why oh why so many injuries? There must be questions about the physios. Admittedly nobody could blame them for Haaland’s injury, hard to avoid a shoulder landing on the ankle resulting in a crash onto astroturf, gravel and an advertising board a metre from the touchline

I should think if half of them dropped their wage packets on their feet it would mean a six month injury lay off !
