I doubt it. The rules were just stacked too much in the player's favour, with the possibility of him walking away on a free and then picking up a huge signing on fee elsewhere.

Not good at all... that was a bigger concern than any other position really as we at least had cover. Question is whether we'll play Zabaleta and Sagna at full back or move Mangala into left back and play Kompany and Otamendi centrally (yet another centre back pairing). Could then switch Mangala into centre around the hour mark if the games comfortable and put Zabba/Sagna on for Kompany so he doesn't overdo it following his injury. It's a shame for Bony more than anything because Kolarov is up there with De Bruyne as our best crosser and Bony would thrive on his deliveries from wide positions.

I think Mangala still needs to be treated with kid gloves as far as his confidence is concerned. If Zaba or Sagna have a poor game at left back they'll probably shrug it off whereas it might have more of an effect on Mangala.

That is a stupid assumption. Why do you think our owners would pay for the absolute best in litterally everything except medical care. Injuries happen and certain players are more injury prone than others.

It's not an assumption and you can't say its stupid because you don't agree with it, look at our injury record, are you telling me we have 15 injury prone players? Bony went 2 season's at Swansea rarely picking up injuries, comes to us and picks up nothing but hamstring injuries for 1 and a half years...... Look back at Mancini's era and he publicly came out and questioned/criticized the medical team as to why so many players were constantly getting injured.

kolarov out for at least 15 days is the worst news if you ask me because the other lb clichy is out too....so no kolarov for either sevilla or rags damn it

Left side problems on the horizon! We need Zaba to have a solid game at LB but he will be less effective going forward from LB. Having two right footers on the left is also a problem as it could look quit enarrow in attack. We could do with an out an out Left Winger to give the side some natural balace.

I wouldn't play Mangala at LB, I dont think it would play to his strengths.
