Injury Updates

Yes we do. I don't think it has anything to do with the way we specifically play or training or medical staff etc. The game is played at such a high intensity nowadays and there's 3 games a week every week, players get almost zero recovery time, it's simoly inevitable injuries will occur, there's been specialists come out and say so and warn against it but nobody cares as there's too much money to be earned to lessen the load on players. I suspect what will eventually have to happen after years and years of flogging the players is the squad limit will be increased and clubs will have to pull out of cup competitions or prioritise certain competitions even more so than they currently do.

We've got the best squad in terms of quality especially in the lowers depths of it but weve all got the same imit on the number of players, we're coming into the busiest of times with a lengthy injury list and I'd put money on that being extended given that were going to have to rely on certain players even more and its only a matter of time before they break too. It's going to be a very testing period we just have to hope for some luck in keeping what we have as fresh as possible whilst waiting for others to return.

Yes we do. You've just highlighted it.
I wouldn't call it sudden though. It's crept up. We've possibly one or two injuries more than we can perform with, at the levels expected.
As was seen on saturday. I think Silva knew he had a problem from early and Fern also looked in bother and was nursing himself.

I think we've crossed the rubicon as far as injuries are concerned and it is time to use the kids whenever the opportunity arises.
I'd call the Hoffenheim game a dead rubber and use Foden and Diaz for more than just 10 minutes.

Thought we had an injury crisis and then looked at the talent here. More than enough depth.

Players available: GK: Ederon, Muric Defence: Walker, Delph, Kompany, Stones, Laporte, Otamendi, Midfield: Bernardo, Gundogan, Foden, Gomes, Bernabe, Zinchenko Attack: Sterling, Sane, Mahrez, Jesus, Diaz

We've got these players for a reason not just to stock pile them!

I'd call it a dead rubber too seen as though we are playing Hoffenheim. :-)

Im not sure 1 loss all season in the league constitutes a crisis. Good performance against Hoffenheim and then Everton and any suggestions of an injury crisis will be long forgotton. Add to that Kev will be back and hopefully Serg, also we can really can give the likes of Dave and hopefully Fern a much needed rest to get over thier niggles.

We have too many injuries at the moment to pivotal players and it could be a problem if Aguero and De Bruyne are not back soon. Having those out with Silva and Mendy would hit any team hard. Fortunately we don’t have any top 4 sides to play for 3 weeks so hopefully we can get the results.

We will have to just risk kids against Leicester in the cup. I’m not arsed about that this year. Bigger fish to fry.

Fair enough, but your list suggests a good first team, and fringe players on the bench.
Not a problem against Hoffenheim, but there isn't much depth if we need a goal against Everton.

Do you mean the Hoffenheim game?
