Is it true Ledley King never trained due to fear of getting injured?
Yep,and McGrath (and played as a functioning alcoholic)

If there hadn't been a world cup, we may well have actually played more games in that period than England did.Get well soon. As long as he is back for the run in we'll be fine. Dias had a good rest, now John. A good recharge of the batteries won't do much harm. The extra games in the world cup probably didn't help so a month recuperation is about right. Other clubs will have injuries too.
No. He had ropey knees so kept fit but saved them for gamesIs it true Ledley King never trained due to fear of getting injured?
Same with Paul McGrath, brilliant player but could not train because of dodgy knees. Is it true Ledley King never trained due to fear of getting injured?
SadlyWe should write off the idea that he will ever get a run in the team, shame
He averages 33 appearances a season. Was it in the Centurions' season that he got that injury (at Leicester?)? Since then, he's suffered several periods out of the side through injury. Shame, as he's a class player. But you can't rely on him putting in 30 appearances in a season any more.
To be fair, I did see "any more", clearly referring to future campaigns. He averages 33 appearances a season.
Kompany averaged 26 appearances a season in his last six years with us.
