I think Important players like De Bruyne have to take more responsibility with their international managers. The Wigan halfwit plays him nearly every minute of every game, seemingly with minor injuries too very recently. He does this for friendlies, qualifiers etc. At some point the player has to say I need a rest I’m sitting this one out.
 
Looks like only Fern and Mendy are major concerns now.

But it's inevitable that as players come back others will be sidelined given the nature of this season.

Give it a month and we will be flying as will most other teams.

Agree. We look a lot better with Ake in the side regardless of where he has played. He would have stopped that Porto goal last night.

Fernandinho is injured and I would give Doyle a start this weekend. He’s played well in his recent starts. Mature performances, kept the ball well, worked hard defensively and displayed his technique.

If he starts with all the first team regulars again he won’t look out of place. Rodri is starting a lot of consecutive games and Gundogan is just back from Covid so we don’t have too many options in midfield. Give Doyle a game.

Or, can we give Stones 'another' chance in this position, when we need to rest Rodri ?

I know it seems like he's had enough chances already, but I think most of us agree there's a player there, if he can just stop the silly mistakes and stay fit.

Stones in midfield ? No thanks. He’s 4th choice in his best position, the one time he played in midfield he was poor.

Zinchenko has played this role for Ukraine scores of times.

That's like saying lets get on that plane .I know that type keeps crashing but I'm sure they are basically sound.

I’ve seen an image of his Mrs, think I’d suffer a similar condition to him and want to stay under the sheets with the Mrs than run around a windy cold wet day
