I just dont see Sergio getting anywhere near fit enough.

Locked away for 4 months then back into games with 3 weeks training never in a million years does Aguero hit the ground running

Hes heavy, looks way out of shape a top Prem player needs to be, yes he's been injured AGAIN but he's had ample of time to be in better shape he came back in, Pep knows this yet did fuckall in the Summer even a free signing would have done but know, imo we fucked about waiting for Messi

Houston we have a fucking problem

A simple question why the hell did we not sign a striker in the summer?
Because when it was mentioned in the summer most on here thought we were ok with 2 and having a plan b type striker such as dzecko was not peps way . So here we are

So painful when think we have to continue seeing Sterling as a main striker for months if not the rest of the season.

Jesus will be back in a week . Hoping he doesn't get injured again
This, I feel, is the problem, years ago a player would come back and get 45 mins in the reserves, then 75 mins or the full game, then back in the 1st team.
Now it is straight into the 1st team with no game time in weeks / months. That cannot do a players body any good at this level.

Whilst Aguero remains a valuable asset, I'm not convinced that he'll ever regain the speed and mobility that marked his early years, and our best performance last season was at Real Madrid when he didn't play.
Same here. I wish I had the same speed and agility I had when I was 25.
But I'm now 70 and it's just not going to happen.

Because there’s no point buying a second rate striker since we’d want a player worthy of succeeding Aguero and a player like that was out of our budget in terms of fee due to us spending £100 million or so on 2 new centre backs.

The club is bigger than any individual and an injury prone player doesn't suddenly gain a yard of pace
That was my point, but some people would rather we just keep the same players because they were great 5 years ago
Then they wonder why we're drifting

Time is nearly up for serg i think. He looked so slow and laboured in his recent return and is forever injured nowadays, he just seems to be all but done for us. Hope i'm wrong, but unless he can stay injury free after this current one he just isnt going to get his sharpness and fitness back in line with what we need.

A mistake by management, again, to only go with 2 strikers especially when one a was already recovering from injury and has repeatedly missed long periods to injury previously

Absolutely shocking management.
Biggest mistake especially with Delap not being eligible for the CL was playing Kun again.

We're like amateur hour sometimes.

As pep said yesterday they tried but couldn't afford a world class striker

So here we are in the biggest club competition in the world without a recognised striker. You couldn't write the script, could you? We are struggling at left fullback, midfield isn't functioning as of old, nobody upfront. What a load of tossers we have in the recruitment department. Then to add insult to injury Delap hasn't been named in the squad. No wonder fans are getting peed off. We'll be lucky to get to the next round and as for the Premier League, we'll be even luckier to get top 4. Should have bought the Jack Palance lookalike that the rags have signed. At least he knows where the goals are.

Nobody mentioning Ake, I know he was injured thought he would be back now, what's actually wrong with him

That is the point FantasyIreland, will Pep make use of the younger members of the squad. This season especially when it comes, to playing in the Champions League. This possible when you can use upto 5 subs per game. So if there are a few younger players on the bench why not use them.

What is the point of putting players on the bench, if you are never going to use them. Much better to put players who will be used.
