the truth is it could be one or the other (the result) ? city win a tight game or we lose by 3 after our legs have gone

pretty much the hardest week of football manchester city have played in a long time and picking up 2 major injuries.
we looked leggy in the 2nd half in midweek and we lost our shape and tempo and sort of just sat back and defended.
wembley is the worst place to play if your not fully fresh or a bit leggy ? its a big pitch and you can be blowing after 20 minutes if you let liverpool play their game. maybe good thing is Dias could slot in and Ake at left back again. also we have to play ederson forget playing steffen even though he is a good keeper. you think liverpool play their 2nd keeper ?

as of now i could not name the starting line up
that is a big worry because i think liverpool can pick their best 11

PS

we need a strong backing from the fans to sing us on and take us home
after the madrid game in midweek we seen the fans lift them to another level and sort of give them a boost.
so i want the full poznan and blue flags flying

Fair play to millwall helping us out. The less travel we have the better rested the team will be for tomorrow. The euphoria from the last 2 games will remove any tired legs. It will take us having an off day and the Scousers to score on every attempt to stop us tomorrow.

Love the positivity mate. Don’t underestimate the euphoria of getting through the other night .

Absolutely perfect analogy.
The dippers are far better than the rags or Chelsea in the premier league era due to the amount of points picked up in successive seasons. We clearly are Federer to them being Murray.
The rags are Tim Henman.
What? So theyve won it once and findished 2nd a few times compared to the rags 13 wins and theyre better in the PL era?

Sounds positive.

Hopefully both back in time for Brighton on Wednesday.
IMO seems overly optimistic?

I agree Kev should hopefully be back soon, only an impact injury and stitches, don't know about Brighton but hopefully fine for the CL.

Walker I am expecting will be significantly longer "The recovery time for a sprained ankle varies depending on the severity of your injury. It may take anywhere from two weeks to heal a minor sprain and anywhere from six to 12 weeks to heal a severe sprain." I am personally not expecting him to play the CL semi but if we make the final he could be available?

Fingers crossed for a quick recovery for both, it would be great if it was quicker, but Walker's seemed a significant sprain.

Well as he's been playing, the squad strength comfortably covers the absence of Walker for a week or two. Kev no, precisely because he's running into form at exactly the right time, and has been looking really hungry for a good month or so. Personally, I'd very much like Kev back for Brighton.

I think that there’s a general lack of appreciation of what Walker and, more specifically, Walker’s speed brings to our game.
His speed in getting back to nullify balls over the top of our high line, and his ability to push right up but still get back to his defensive station, allows us to play in ways that we can’t without him.
Yes we can play without him but IMO we play better with him and he’ll be sorely missed while he’s out.

Pep has always said that momentum is more important than resting players. I think we play better under pressure than any other team I have seen. Adrenaline will push us through today and I am more worried about the Brighton game.

Walker is an enormous miss against Liverpool because of the way they play. Much less so against other teams .
